As Larry Brown turned left at Woody Allen's seat and accelerated past Isiah Thomas and Magic Johnson in the tunnel, one Knick turned to his teammates and announced: "Now we can start playing ball."

What a joke. There is nobody on this team who has any right to pretend to know how to play ball more than LB. I have to think the only person who could and would of made this statement is Stephon, or maybe Nate considering his immaturity. Just when you think it can't get any uglier you find out the players are delusional about the reason they are losing. Try playing defense.

It's statements like this that I rarely believe. It's those types of things that reporters can cleary just make up in order to make a story insteresting. This all depends on the creditabilty of the writer. To me, unless it can be proven or a name is on it, it is the writer who is in question first and foremost. Daily News has made it's fair share of blunders when it comes to covering the Knicks. And even if someone DID say that, it couls have been ANYONE on the team. But does that mean we come down on specific players as if they said it?

I think this is a nonissue.

Maybe he meant to say: Our coach got thrown out which is embarrasing. I hope everyone can use that as motivation. Now we can start playing ball.

And inside the locker room, where confusion and frustration reign, the players are fed up with Brown beating them down privately and publicly, according to several team sources.

This is not a nonissue nor something made up, it is clear to anyone who has followed this team that the players have appeared to quit on the coach.

Do you really believe that the players were angry or embarrassed when LB got tossed? No chance.

Isiah needs to be tough with his players.

He needs to let them know HE hired Brown and what Larry wants is what HE wants.

This is Isiahs coach, and if Isiah is not backing him 200% then Isiah is most incompetent and a full of lies!

These whining soft divas of players are getting on my nerves! Now they are uncoachable? WTF?

And we are blaming Larry for this?

Is eddie working too hard? Jerome working at all? Craw too dumb? Nate too funny? Marbs offends too easy? What is it with this group!

They need to get down and be professional! They need to be men and earn their keep! They need to learn and accept the Fundamentals and stop fighting it!

That's why they're sources. You don't need a source to tell you that their is frustration and resentment inside the Knicks locker room anyway, or maybe YOU do.

This is a nightmare of a situation for everyone involved. I can understand the players starting to lose faith in Larry. What an incredible mess...

What makes me even more pissed off is:

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/story/387736p-329011c.html
NO JOKE: Magic Johnson, who turned down the opportunity to run the Knicks two years ago, was seen laughing it up with Thomas, the current Knicks president, in the tunnel during Tuesday's blowout loss to the Lakers. You wonder what was so funny.

Now that's phucked up.

Funny thing is, with the exception of Craw and a few others these guys have all been on winning teams.

Larry is a winner (historically) and just won the ring a few seasons ago.

Steph led Pheonix to a winning record and to the playoffs in the big bad west only to get knocked off by the mighty Spurs.

Malik with the Spurs

AD (although aging) on the Pacers and Raptors (when the Raptors was a playoff team with a winning record)

Curry on last season's Bulls

Q Rich on the Suns

Big Game as a starter for the Sonics (who had a great year last season!)

These guys should definitely be playing better than having one of the worst records in the league in my opinion.

Then on the other hand.....

Mo T is a different story, I don't think he has won anywhere actually.

Q Woods hasn't been on a winning team has he? Not sure if he reall ever got much playing time anyway.

Crawford has always been on a loosing team.

Are those 3 enough to bring the team down to the basement of the NBA? Do they have the skills? I think so. Are they coachable? I think so.

Only players left are the college guys and they all had good careers in college and so far are adjusting well to the NBA.

Something is not adding up.

But then again, I am willing to wait because when it all began we were continuously warned that Larry Brown teams usually lose before they win. So.....we shall see.

Isola is one of the beat writers who travels with the team and other Knick beat writers, they have contact with people within the team all the time--you don't rat someone out for giving you some inside info.

awww here we go! Calm down little man. My point is I cannot go by 'sources say' unless the majority of beat writers out there are saying this. Of course there is frusteration. Anyone can see that. Other than that I don't go based on one writer saying 'i heard a player say......' or 'behind closed doors the players feel....'. That's all. slow your role dude.

It is a fact that writers make stuff up from time and time and include it as an 'anonymous source'. Greg Anthony, Legler and Pippen were talking about that one time.

The beat writers aren't all going to write the same story or talk to the same people. You might want to think this out a little more.

Isola reported that the Knicks were going to hire Mike Fratello when they hired Lenny Wilkens. He is wrong a lot.

I would say this is a different kind of story--what else was he wrong about? This is dumb.

generally speaking all the beat writers sit together at the game and hear and see the same things. And they all have access to the same players at the same time.

Do they write the same articles? Do they all have the same sources? No. That's easy enough to understand I think.

Think what out? It's not rocket science dude. It is a fact that you can pick up 3 or more papers and in all papers it will say 'sources say the Knicks are in talks with the Blazers concerning Miles and Patterson' etc. You've never heard of this? That's surprising. Why do some posters get so hurt and sensitive about someone disagreeing with them until it becomes a question of intelligence. What is there to think out when it comes to beat writers dude? lol Get a grip.
