Peja Stoyacavic

He is a pure shooter.
He is one dimensional.
He is a poor defender.
He is not a leader.

We only need shooting from him. Could his D be any worse than Q or Crawfords?
His production will be greater and he will score effortlessly because I think we can all agree, jumpshooters thrive with Steph.

no thanks. If you are building with an eye towards a championship team, he is not your guy. End of story.

Granted he will want max money, but I don't think he'll get it. In any case I would not mind him on the squad, there are not many pure shooters in the league, and we need one more than any team in the league.

I like him alot. I just dont think he's available for anything we have. We dont have cap space and arent willing to trade our young guys to get him. I think the Bulls are going to give a VERY hard look at getting him and Brad Miller at the deadline. Something like Tim Thomas, Harrington, Deng, Gordon and the Knicks pick for Miller and Peja.

That gives the Bulls
Duhon
Hinrich
Peja
Chandler
Miller
bench: Sweetney, Noccioni, Basden Pargo and they still have their #1

I'd love it if we could somehow get involved in that and come away with Deng. He'd fit our youth movement like a glove.

1 guy who i know i hate that would fit nicely is Richard Jefferson.

another guy that would fit nicely is Josh Howard, even though i don't hate him.

If you want a shooter, young guy, and a guy who could turn your franchise around it would be Kobe. And by the looks of it I believe the last time I checked he was not available

yeah, i know... didn't say i thought we could get him... just that he'd fit in nicely... sucks cuz we had our chance to draft the kid... but i guess since Isiah was able to turn Sweetney into Curry, i can't really complain.

I'd like to understand what you mean by that. I think he is just what the Knicks need, a "release" for Curry and all the Knicks driving players.

We have a Peja type player in Craw, so no need for him!!

What similarity is there between JC and Peja?

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Its ridiculous to suggest he couldn't be a part of a championship team. He just can't be the centerpiece, and here he woudln't be, he'd be a high scoring role player of sorts.

he has choked in every playoff series he's ever played in. he's slipping as a player and doesn't bring anything to the table other than shooting. he's a defensive seive. remember tim thomas going for 30+ against him every time they played?

killa and oohah, this is kinda what I mean. Peja had CWebb, Bibby, Brad Miller, and a very good defensive stopper at shooting guard (can't remember name right now) and he had 1 job, which was to score or outscore his counterpart. Peja seems to level off during the playoffs and at least not raise his game. And during the playoffs, unless you have a PF or C that is a massive plug for your defense, everyone has to play a 2-way game to allow you to win a championship.
