that clears their finanical deck and makes the knicks an automatic player by inserting Davis at 2 Pierce at 3 with Lafrentz as back up C.

They can get grat players for these guys, but really they wont get talent for talent--maybe taking the whole financial shcmeal and letting them start over may be the Celtics best choice.

are you serious?!

now, i read the article about ainge wanting a change... no where did i see that he wanted to scrap his best players for financial relief. all he said was they needed a change. i doubt that means trading pierce and davis without getting a very talented player back to build around.

who would boston be built around if they made this deal??

this offer is as bad as the KG for financial relief offers.

at best, maybe you could get 1 good player, but not for scraps. boston isnt going to stack another team in their own division.

You never know until you offer. No team except the Knicks can offer a financial pakage like that. If they really want to rebuild, its not a bad avenue to explore. Do I think its going to happen? No.

they wouldnt do any deal like that without getting a good lottery pick. many teams can actually offer some financial relief, along with actual ready talent.

i talked about ricky davis a while back prior to him putting up numbers off the bench. and now as a starter he continues to show the bball world he's no band-aide fix i seriously doubt if ainge is interested trading away ricky and the truth unless your talking about the kg sweepstakes

see what makes things atleast in my eyes a viable reason to call

number 1 why trade KG for Pierce and ricky when it has been proven they havent been able to win as main cogs? If you are taking away KG, then you have just amedicore team
number 2 IF I was trading KG for anyone, Id ask the Bulls for Hinrich, both lottery picks this year and the rights to grab that switch aroo with da knicks next year. Thats a possibility of 4 lottery picks cap space and a very good PG I could start over with. Thats the way I would do it. Would the Bulls? Maybe because they have a lot of parts and they can move Duhon to PG

January 1, 2006 -- Real sources reveal Boston is attempting to trade as many of its major money players as possible in an effort to get younger than young — underage, actually.
I'm not saying Danny Ainge is about to give away Paul Pierce and Ricky Davis (Mark Blount is another story; Ainge will take expiring contracts of mediocre talent to move that contract), but I am shattering the illusion Pierce will remain a Celtic for the shelf life of this season, much less his career.

when you look at Bostons players, and how much they make, and seeing that they wont trade pierce and probably not davis; it looks like they are only trying to move LaFrentz, Blount, and possibly Scalabrine. Do the celtics still have their 1st in 06?? that would be the only way to take on these bums.

I dunno about him being part of the future but Ricky Davis seems like he is now ready to play basketball to win. He has truly been a great player overall this season. His numbers are great and he has been cold as ice down the stretch of games.

Now with all that said.....we are talking about Danny ainge. He gets board and just starts making moves for the hell of it. I personally think that they need to just go with a complete youth movement. Outside of pierce and Davis the rest of the team looks like St johns. Isiah has the financial chips. Getting both? I don't see that happening.....but getting pierce? Yeah I can see that. The celtica already have Ryan gomes as a more that capable replacement.

Pierce to the knicks? Talk about the return of the messiah. Pierce would be the missing piece on the knicks.

First off, Gomes is not a capable replacement for Pierce. Second, can't se celts helping rival Kncks by giving us Pierce. Third, similar to Celts, we too should be looking to dump slaries and rebuild nt add on rediculous contracts like Piece, Davis and Blount

danny ainge could add first round draft pick to seal the deal by swapping draft picks:
boston sends their first round draft pick to minny in exchange for wolves second round pick

Im tired of starphucking, I dont think the knicks should do this trade, or trade for KG, Im tired of being the nba's dumping ground. anyway isiah would trade this team's future for KG, or do this trade in a second though.
