this season is done
we are not getting any draft picks back

we have to look towards the next 3 seasons
we have to get eddie curry healthy and keep him healthy. he may not be a 40 minute player in this league, but if he can give me an effective 30-32 and stay healthy, thats fine. i think he needs to shed 15 pounds for his lowe limbs
i like frye off the bench as a 4-5 sub who can also give 30 minutes
craw has shown signs of being a better player

there is a LOT of crp on this team that has to go

needs
a real SF who can play both ways
another high skill big i like frye off the bench as a 4-5 sub. I dont know that starting is a necessary need for him
a pass first PG who can defend
a SG with some size who can actually shoot

need to get jerome james in better shape hes our back up 5 he needs to be in better shape there is no way aroudn it

i like craw as a sixth man combo but he still needs strength

marbury will be here, hes a very good player and we need to find serenity and balance so we can see the best of his skills for the team we dont need this bS with him and brown etc... the best thing would be to move him for even one pick and player combo, but who will take him???????

absolute sht that has to go
q-rich
malik rose
a davis[not terrible but 38 and not part of the plan]
penny

my indifference list
trevor ariza
nate robinson

i think these guys can develop into good role players for a good team.

david lee
needs to be defined as a 4 or MAYBE even a back up 5 in a speed game

i would not hesitate packaging some yut for a serious player to break down the roster glut and sharpen the teams core 9

We have talked some about Lee gaining pounds, how about Frye. Looked miniscule next to Howard. Looks like he could gain about 20lbs worth of muscle without giving up too much.

what impressed me about frye tonight is that he showed so resemblance of a post game. and even he said that he intents to bulk up some more next off season, in an interview

man, I still don't know why Houston has not picked up the pace for Marb, or maybe even TWolves if they think they can make another push with KG and company. I think a bunch of deals will go down starting with Artest and ending with a lot of big contracts moving towards the deadline.

yeah those are the only two teams I think would accept marbs, we already know marbs doesnt like minnasota so who know's how that would work out

I think Frye will work hard and also naturally fill out as he ages so I'm not worried about that. After watching him in college I think he will be a jumpshooting PF that can take smaller players inside when the matchups dictate.

I think our first need is the SF position. This seems to be our biggest weakness. Teams are automatically doubling off our SF's and that is clogging the paint. Eddie doesn't pass out of Double teams so he has to work to score. And our guards when they are forced to penetrate late in the clock(which teams are making them do) they are driving into a world of trouble which leads to at least 3 or 4 turnovers a game. It's a huge domino effect.
I just hope that people will like me

It seems a bit crazy when the team has the trade assets we do.

I love Frye around the basket. I think just checking the guy out you can see he's going to work on his inside game. He's got good instincts there - he just doesn't seem to have the experience playing the inside offensive power game yet. I think he'll find his way there.

its like this, with the new cba there is a luxury tax invoked every year unlike before when it was based on total league revenues. now if you are over that 60-61mm$ threshold, there is no way out, you pay $-$ so now teams have to think much more about the money and how it is alloacted to players. If the cap is 60mm$ what team is willing to fork 1/3 of that for marbruy for the next 3 1/2 years? maybe houston, but i doubt it. what other club is willing to put that kind of hurt on their salary system? in almost any case, you are taking back unwanteds i dont see a value-value trade or even close to it, i dont see a trade.

Like? You act like we have more trade assets than most teams do. Do you honestly believe that? Aside from expiring contracts what do we have? We've traded away most of our draft picks over the next few years and we have a lot of overpriced and underachieving players. So what are these assets that you speak of?

We need frye starting, Period , give me Larry Bird at SF and we can talk about bringing frye in off the bench..

we have some trades pieces, i think almost anyone can get traded, the problem is unless you use value players like Frye[who isnt going anywhere--you are just trading unwanted for unwated and hoping that the player turns around here.

I wouldve trade Sweetney and a number 1 protected for Curry, the problem is no other team wanted Curry and the Bulls offered him 20 mm to retire. With that knowledge, I dont know how it turned into possibly two unprotected picks + 2 second rounders. I just wish they did something to protect the team a little more from downside results. I dont know why they valued Lee so much. Would a package of Lee Sweetney and a protected 2006 number 1 be more than fair for a team that wanted the player to retire? with a lottery pick on tap and knowing you are still in the oden sweepstakes if we do indeed stink again, it would make things much more palatable. Could a Morrison help this club next year more than Lee?

Trade assets: Penny, AD, Nate, Lee, Butler, Ariza, SA 2006 #1. Maybe Frye or Curry but it would take a lot for me to give them up. (I also don't think it would be nearly as hard as some do to trade Marbury--if Isiah even wants to--but there's no point in re-doing that debate.)

Its not a big issue whether or not a guy starts. Did Eddy start last night? If Frye plays 30 minutes or so off the bench as a 4-5 or if he starts, whats the big deal? From my vantage point, Frye was more comfortable coming off the bench this season.

and ill use facts to back up what i have seen

in the 9 games Frye has started, he played really well in only 3 of them

in the 15 games he has come off the bench and received atleast 15 minutes, he has played very well in 8 of them

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3934/gamelog;_ylt=Ao0XmHpMb7JLLzAAn1kAF62kvLYF

he is still a rookie and he brings a quality player off the bench. We could use another big that we do not poccess to go along with Curry and Frye, maybe a guy who can rebound and defend a tad better.

He did drop 30 on Bucks in a start. Doesn't matter, though. AD will retire and next year he will def start. Needs to add 10-15 pounds of muscle and he'll be fine
