According to NY Post:
http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/59333.htm

Thomas commemorated the day by ripping the mental makeup of the club he built, calling his players "weak-minded" and saying they lacked "mental stamina."

Thomas went further, asserting that some Knicks do not have the "substance" to face the pressure of playing professional sports in New York.

"I like that Larry [Brown] and I get the brunt of the criticism," Thomas said. "I like we wear the black hat right now. The players need shelter."

To Isiah,

Nice talk there. But you know what? You created this mess. It was you who brought all these players to NY. Every single one of them. You brought in over $300mm of future salary, and we are the second worst team in the entire NBA. We got no flexibility, we gave away picks, and we are stuck with mediocre boobs who, according to you, are WEAK MINDED.

I think Knicks fans are sick and tired of YOUR TALK. Your talk is like Craw & Marb's flashy AND1 moves. They look cool, but they don't produce results. They don't mean a thing at the end. I think it's time that you truly own up to your mistakes and admit that you have no real knowledge of how to assemble & manage a team. You s*ck...

Dear Santa,

Please bring in a new GM with superior knowledge & experience of managing a BB team. I know you have so many things on your TO DO list, but this will make millions of NYK fans around the world happy.

I was gonna ask for an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action BB Gun for Christmas but I think I'm going to have to change that and ask for what you're asking.

I said over and over last years team was soft as hell!

These guys are similar but they at least have more upside!

KT and Allan were labeled as many things, but they were not Wussies!

Laydens 2002 team. Won 37 games almost made playoffs:
Name G Min Pts PPG FGM FGA FGP FTM FTA FTP 3PM 3PA 3PP REB RPG AST APG STL BLK TO
Allan Houston 82 3108 1845 22.5 652 1465 .445 363 395 .919 178 450 .396 231 2.8 220 2.7 54 7 178

Frank Williams
and of course Dice.

Not the most talented team, but they had good chemistry and were not Wussies! Who knows what Layden was able or unable to do, or would have done, but that team, that year had heart! The next season was a different story, but we at least were not starphuching anymore and were going to use our picks and let contracts fall.

This team now is very very young! THe vets are done, our guys will grow up. They must go thru this painful process!

For xmas I want like 2 things to go well 4 me.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

My X-MAS Knick wish would be for Isiah to add a player at the 1, 2, or 3 with the upside and promise that Frye and Curry have at the 4 and 5.

Do you ever stop spinning and talking in vague terms that leave yourself with lots of room for error?

What the hell is wrong with what he said, moreso why the hell do you care. Isles, do yourself a favor and ignore Bonn, it seems like you are obscenely obsessed with him and only come onto this board to find his posts and quote them. Give it up.

This wasn't Laydens team. Grunfeld and Checkets put that team together. Spree, Houston etc...all Grunfeld and Checkets

That's the wish for *this* X-Mas (or this season). One step at a time. Eventually he'll have to add more than one player obviously.

Except about half this board hates what Briggs writes. I don't even quote or ridicule him as much as many other posters now. I still do occasionally but I usually just sit back and watch others criticize him. Isles can come here, quote, and name-call me as often as he likes. That's his issue.

"bothers us" as in the views are annoying for the ten seconds we (or at least I) read them. Not "bothers" in the sense that it carries over into the rest of my life or something. I enjoy teaching, grad school, and spending time with my gf too much to be seriously affected by anything on a message board.

What subject/class/whatever you want to call it do you teach, Bonn?
