Its obvious we wronged Scott Layden and while he is too nice a guy to curse us, some thing has gone wrong. This is a smart good guy who is one of the best family guys, a good son, and very well liked by those who know him.

We fired him, and Isiah dissed him. A website dedicated to his firing was started, and fans used to cheer "fire layden" during drafts at the garden. this was wrong, and we pissed off the basketball gods! We phuched up.

Layden is now an assistant coach on the Jazz and returns on friday. Its time we make amends and make peace with the gods. We must serve up some humble pie, eat some crow and say we are sorry. This is an omen, Scott back in the garden, a jazz team ripe for the taking, and we need some momentum. It must start with us!

The fans must do this, we must attone for our sins. We must take control of the teams karma and offer a sacrifice. Since Dido has gone packing, we must then offer our pride instead.

I'll go first

Dear Scott,

We see now that it was an organizational failure that existed for many years and we wrongfully tagged you as the face of that failure and it was wrong. In many circles, you are blamed for Weis, Ewings departure, Allans promise to extend his contract, and host of many many bad moves. We realize now that it was unfair to throw you under the bus and label you as the posterboy for all that is wrong. Please forgive us and may we all move on to happier pastures. We are glad Dolan compensated you well, and that you have proven yourself a worthy television personality, and an assistant coach! Best to you and your family!

Love,

Ulitmateknickfan Nalod

See, not so hard! Now lets one by one offer something. even if you hate Isiah and were right all along, just give up something and if enough of us do it, we can turn this thing around! The fans can make it happen!

dear scott,

what the hell are you wearing? is that an extra-thick t-shirt under your shirt? are you wearing 2 shirts? who picked out that damn shirt in the first place? it looks 8 sizes too big, making you look even further like a lost little boy struggling to function in a man's body. that's some crazy thing, like something keith van horn would wear. in fact, it probably is keith van horn's. he gave it to you and now you cling to it and wear it every day don't you? my god that is sad. come to think of it you have that keith van horn haricut going now too, don't you? wow, this is getting weirder than i thought.

your friend,

hey you're right, that wasn't so hard!

Dear Scott,

I want to thank you for providing me with McKnee, fatspoon, Ho, O, Shandon "no thumbs" Anderson, the mountain man, Felton "the enforcer" Spencer and the entire Utah Utes graduating class from 1999-2003. Without that, my jokebook would have been empty. Thank you Scott. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

Blaming Layden anymore is useless! Let it go, forgive! There is no going forward until we can learn to leave the past behind! The symptoms of organizational failure are the blood stains we prevent Layden from washing! Cleanse the hemogloben residue of checketts, clense the false attempts of Starphuching, release the rotting smell of Tapscotts Weis, and gone be the spirit of JVG disclosure of fundamental roster ineptitude!

Gone be Fat spoon, Gone be Eisley, Gone be Shandon, gone be Wilkins, Gone be Dick Helm, Gone be the devil Spree! Gone be Dice, gone be Nene and his Nay Knee, gone be Camby Bambi, gone be charlie ward, and gone be the blame bestowed upon Allan houstan, and gone be the false pretense of John Starks as the savior!

A new day is upon, but the shackles of of our past hold us down, rise up and Believe, believe, believe and Stern have mercey from the ashes of the past shall rise a new dawn, a new era! A new year is upon us, a time of reflection! at time to put past the sins, a time to begin anew!

heal thy Marbury! Send Marbury, Crawford, and Eddie down the yellow brick road and give him a heart, give one courage, and give one a brain! The shot clock of life ticks every day, and once we look upon the top of the backboard it counts down the precious moments of ultimateknicks.com! Live, live a life with purpose! Make every game picker count, and every league pass with purpose!

Amen

Dear Scott,

I want to thank you in advance for not returning to the New York Knicks. I think you should stay in Utah and help their franchise.

Dear Scott,

You really fooled us. What with your white bread nerdy choirboy look, and all those good golly players you brought it. But deep down you are pure Brooklyn street grift, aren't you? Your daddy taught you well. That setup of leaving those notes for Isiah to see... you know... regarding that Marbury trade... lol... pure genius. You knew the one player that could insure Isiah's downfall and he fell for it hook, line and sinker, just like you knew he would. Now look at him... and look at the fans...

You got him, my lad... you really, really got him... You were putrid as a GM, but as a swindling, rapscallion, scalawag, you are beyond compare...

Funny stuff! Remember when isiah was hailed for the trade!

Marbs might still get it after all. Denial is good. I like it.

I think your right. Layden in the garden, its a big moment. Its a sign, we have an opportunity. They should cheer him when is is named as an assistant coach! Exercise the bad karma. flush it, too much bad thoughts. Man.

I am not cool with cheering Layden. Why should we forget what he put the franchise through? Just because the next guy isnt doing much better? No way man. I will boo him and I will blame Isiah too if he leaves after making the team and the fans suffer.

Thats the point, we cheer him and put it behind us. It shows we have turned the page. By booing we keep ourselves in the gutter! Why wish him bad?

THings happen, risks are taken, it happens. He did his job, he did what his boss wanted. He did not put us thru IT? DOn't like the team, don't go! Its not personal. Booing shows stupidity, Cheering wishes him well, and that we are bigger and better people. We look forward, not back! Booing is bad karma for all involved. Nobody wins! Booing is never going to change what has happened, only the way you look at it. Hating takes away energy. Negative people bring others down, and eventually themselves!

Let it go, the gods are forgiving, this is our moment! The mecca of basketball must show a higher level of thinking, otherwise we are doomed to repeat the past!

Cheer!

Booing Layden never helped!

I'm with you. Booing won't help, but I also would have a hard time cheering for him. What if we all just stood there and stared at him.
