That trade fills needs but is this the trade Larry wants? Will this make Larry get his act together?

Even Better....Would Sota(cute) do it? Jaric is finally playing well and Wally is currently on a tear playing his best ball of his career.

I was going to suggest that trade including Wally. It works well for both teams. That's my issue about if McHale would do it now, I think a month ago yeah. But you don't hear those KG trade talks anymore.

I think I would do this trade in 2 seconds. While I'll miss Marbs, we'd fill our need for a 2/3 lethal outside shooter and we'd get back a young euro pg

marbury to minny to reunite with kg will be his reclamation destination.

we all thought it would be steph to nyc but it's not looking that way. him, reuniting with KG would probably be best for BOTH players.

and it's one of the VERY FEW teams that would trade for steph and may actually be the only team that NEEDS marbury at this point.

Marbury is and was great when paired with a star and a bunch of role players. He's not great at getting everyone involved, but he's good at getting a couple guys involved.

yup. are we going to wait for frye and/or curry to become that 2nd player? time will tell.

but KG and steph will run the two man game all night long...and more importantly will WIN doing it. and i think they could actually win BIG too.

I like the idea. But then I'd have to get league pass to watch Minny go to WCF vs. SA.

BUt my knicks would suck balls. Wally at 10 mil+ for what like 4 years. That hurts.

If that's the best we can do for Marbury can people start admitting that that trade was an absolute disaster for us?

It was, but no one could foresee how bad it would get.

Actually quite a few people in the media realized that we were giving up way too much for a player with that kind of track record and that this relationship could turn sour very quickly.

Oh and I'm pretty sure I'm on record saying that as well from the very beginning.

If the package we gave to Phoenix was so great, why did they trade both picks to Utah, cut Lampe and never even call Vuja? They got cap room. Isiah got a star, an obviously flawed one. But a big part of why this move failed, and a part I think even you can admit, is that no one foresaw Houston going down for good in 2004.

We need to lose our Daunte Culpepper and bring in a Brad Johnson.

As much as you like to think so, trading for Marbury wasn't solely for fan pleasure and/or team success. While that was part of it, the revenue that Stephon has generated has made the trade for him a financial success. Cablevision was able to stop the hemorraging of money that the Eisley, houston and Mcdyess team was causing.

So, no it wasn't a complete disaster for the Knicks, nor was it a complete disaster for the fans. We got a shot in the arm for a couple of years. And this is all assuming that he is not going to be here for the next year.

somehow I would tend to think that winning would bring in more revenue or as much as marbury, but maybe Im wrong

Of coures winning would bring in more revenue, but getting Steph was the next best thing.

Yep, and I think it's safe to say more Marbury jersey's have been sold than McDyess and Lampe jerseys...
