ive been one of his supporters, I liked him all the way back to Michigan--as a PG, not as a 2G. there are NO signs whatsoever that lead me to believe he can be a consistent NBA 2G. His frame, he's a bit of a chicken when it comes to contact, his awful inconsistencies.

Isiah has collected so many low IQ low fundamental players that cost and arm and a leg that there is no way out. I thought that Marbury trade was like moving into quicksand--weve spent enough money to atleast get our head out of it, but its not happening.

Isiah himself is being a coward. He wont talk EVER unless its after a couple of knick wins. Thats not the Isiah thomas i know, he used be tough, now he is lead pssy on a team filled with them.
RIP Crushalot😞

Title: I disagree highly. After 3 years of watching Shanvis Eisleyspoon your gag reflex should have been eliminated

First paragraph: Yes I agree with all of it. He has so much skill but you can tell he is a member of the AND1 generation that learned that one on one and shaking your man is great even if you don't win. He's young but he needs to learn the game soon.

Paragraph 2: yes we have acquired some idiots

Paragraph 3: I don't think he's a coward. I think he's staying out of the media and letting Brown be the voice. I'm sure he will crack sooner or later because he hates losing but I think it's a concerted effort not to step on LB's toes. Only build up the team, let LB tear it down. Good cop, bad cop.

I think the reason we haven't heard from Isiah is because he knows this roster is flawed and he's working the trade phones. I agree he should be more vocal in support of the team right now, but it's possible he's trying to not step on Larry's toes. But with all the losses, I agree it looks like he's hanging LB out to dry.

Craw is another story. He has been particularly maddening this year. The Bucks did a solid job on D last night, but that's no reason not to drive it to the hole. Marbury and Crawford have to learn how to get their games going while still establishing the bigs. The first quarter last night, at least on offense, was a beautiful thing as far as how Channing and Curry can work together, but if Marbs and Craw don't establish some sort of penetration or perimeter scoring, teams are just going to pack it in and double both Curry and Frye every time they touch the ball.

Perhaps Brown should start Crawford, leave Nate's energy for the bench, and try to run a few first quarter plays for Craw and Marbury.

I wonder if Nate is being showcased for a trade, but that would really surprise me as Brown seems to be in love with him.

crawford is not playing aggressive. he, just like marbury, has been stripped of what has made him a successful individual talent BUT where he is developmentally warrants it. he has a great skillset but he is VERY undisciplined so lb had to completely break him down. lb admitted he's the hardest on crawford and i think there's a reason behind it. he pretty much does what he's told and sometimes he plays scared b/c he's afraid to upset lb which may ultimately lead to him being traded. you can see he's not 100% comfortable out there alot of times. he's 25, been in the league 6 years yet is either on par or slightly ahead of a guy like frye in terms of IQ and mental toughness. he's young enough and talented enough to invest some time trying to make him a legit player and pg.

I do think he can be a solid player at either the 1 or the 2, but I think the best way to use him on our team is as a scorer with some time at the pg. He is careless with the rock and has a penchant for flashy plays that lead to turnovers, thats why I don't want him as our fulltime pg, that and the fact that I think Steph is a better Pg than him.

But thus far he has not shown that he can be consistant at anything, on offense or defense. It is amazing the pass that he gets by so many here. Why isn't LB using him like Rip? He has shown he can do it. I think LB has focussed more on Frye & Curry as parts of our offense, because he's old school and a team should rely more on bigs than guards anyway. But he is being underutilized, and is looking so bad, his trade value is low.

We should ship him out west.

It was crazy to me that with Redd starting at the 3, LB wouldn't start Craw there too. Seemed like a good matchup and test for Jamal. I don't think LB digs him too much personally.

and that's my point. he is being underutilized...on a team with no SG and only 3 guards. why? he played point all pre-season. he started hitting jumpers like rip. but that all stopped. why? it makes no sense.

Unlike marbury he is wildly inconsistant.
I would say he is far below Frye in the area of mental toughness. Frye looked scared once, in Phoenix. The next game Frye kills, as I predicted.

I dont think a player who scores 31 in his hometown, and then 11,8, and 0, can be described as mentally tough.

Craw has shown up in the 4th in a few games, but overall he has been invisible in far too many others. He needs to find some middle ground. We don't NEED 30 from him, but 0 points is really crazy unless he was sick too. we need about 15-18 ppg from him. Whatever he can contribute EVERY NIGHT is what we need. Not a rollercoaster.

Steph and Craw have not learned how to get shots in the flow of the offense. All they know is one on one. It's a fundamentals thing that is learned after years of playing team ball

Dump into the post. Find a spot on the floor that puts you at an advantage over your sagging defender. If the ball is kicked out to you immediately dumping it back in, swinging it or because you have stepped to the right spot you can immediately make a move without working hard because your guy is already out of position defensively even though he was playing good defense. YOu are now catching the ball on the go and in the flo of the offense you are making a move or keeping the ball moving. Other guys are ready to catch the ball. When you drive guys are already moving and this helps your guys get in position to offensive rebound. Going 10-30 in the flow of the offense is better than going 15-30 going one on one.

It's such a small thing that is unfortunately normally learned as a youth. These guys don't understand these angles. All they know is one on one. Catch. Dribble all nice and fancy. Allow your guy to get in good defensive position again. Work twice as hard as you need to. Have your teammates standing around wondering when you will make a move. Guys are so good at shaking and baking and scoring that they can't understand when you explain to them that they are destroying your offense

^Yes, all you have to do to understand how an offense should move and flow is to watch the team the Knicks got manhandled by last night.

Right now Im very low on most of the experienced players we have. Marbury? I have always been a supporter of him but this situation is crazy. We may be better off trading him, and this comes from a guy that wanted Marb to finish his career in NY and win a championship. Craw? He is so inconsistent its hard to like him. One day he is saving the Knicks in the fourth quarter and being the hero and everyone saying how he is untouchable. The next day he fails to score and does nothing to prevent the Knicks from another dissapointing loss. He is playing, so he has no excuses about that. He may not be starting but that doesn't really matter, he is being out there when the game is on the line and he isn't taking advantage of that. Too inconsistent.

Same goes for most of the vets...

"Right now," Brown said, "we don't have anybody with a head that can get them (his inexperienced players) in spots (on the floor and) take the pressure off them. That's difficult."

Brown also went out of his way to compliment T.J. Ford, who finished with nine points and nine assists while getting his team into its offensive sets.

"It seemed like they were scripting plays," Brown said. "T.J. would call a play and they'd run it and get the shot they wanted. We'd come down ... we don't recognize change in defenses, time and score. That's just bad coaching."

I've been about as optimistic as anyone regarding craws potential to turn over a new leave, but so far crawford is making me look like an idiot. I dont know if I would go as far as to trade him just yet, becuase I blame brown to some degree for craws inconsistancies, but as of right now I would trade crawford before nate in a deal.

I don't blame Brown. I blame his high school coach's for never teaching him basic fundamentals that would allow him to adjust to the style of another coach. Why is it that Frye is not having a problem adjusting to a new system? He has years of good coaching. Marbury and craw are inconsistent because they have to think about playing hard, they have to think about what a good shot is. They have to think about angles. It's not LB's fault.

At halftime, with the Knicks down by 15, Brown kept his team in the locker room until the two-minute mark of the intermission. It was the longest halftime speech some players could recall.

"It was just Coach being Coach," Jamal Crawford said. "It was just a little longer, I guess."

Glad to see that Crawford let LB's message go in one ear and out the other. All he got out of it was "coach being coach" and "It was just longer, I guess"??? This guy just doesn't get it at all, he has no clue.

And some people think it's LB's fault? He has a bunch of players that won't listen or take direction and it's his fault. Unreal.
