as well as fundamental skills. we did a somewhat good job of slowing the pace in all 3 games, but other than JC's breakout 2nd half, the other teams were able to catch us as the defenses adjusted

i really do believe we need more defined vet players and I think bringing Frye of the bench--still maintaining that he gets 30+minutes, might be the way to go.

I don't think its an iq issue- I think its a familiarity, chemistry issue. there were a bunch of passes that turned into turnovers that I don't expect to see as this team plays together and gets in tune with each other.

NY is missing on the basic things like entering the ball into the post and someone anyone cut...

Some of it has to do with the youth on the team, and some of it has to do with not having a true PG.

not sure how 2 players can be "our only player" but all I know is I watch the games and I see Rose making such terrible plays. He made 2 of the worst passes last nite. He has NO, or very limited basketball IQ.

or it could be he expects guys to gravitate to certain spots and they don't because not many of the Knicks players have any clue what to do if the initial 1 -on - 1 play is taken away by a good press, trap, or zone. There is a great degree of expactancy that goes along with running the motion offense.

Its kind of like a QB throwing 1 way and a receiver going another. Its not always the QBs fault. The wide receiver more often than not make the wrong "read" of what the defense is giving them.

Knicks cant have a 20mm$ 20 point scorer coming of the bench and Woods has done nothing in the NBA to suggest anything.

If anything--what we could use is a couple of solid long athletic vets in their prime who play 2 ways, a rebounding PF and bring Frye in off the bench until he becomes more of a complete type player at that position--he can still get 30 minutes. I don't know about 80% of this roster--the jury is still out on a ton of it.
