PF caNNOT avg mid 30s-puts to MUCH pressure on other players.

for this team to be *whole* we need a third G a SF and a PF that can rebound/defend and hit 47% so team guard him as a back up to Frye. I wonder if we should start giving more minutes to JB to see what he can do at 4.

Unfortunately if you take "Tony Davis" out of the lineup we have absolutel 0 rebounding - we need him in there since Curry and Frye don't board enough.

News from the wire: Antonio Davis and Malik Rose both retire after admitting they were two old to continue chasing around these young whipper snappers.

Rose has been solid. AD is the worst player in the history of the world, at least this version of AD.

Well, we could use a rebounding big, but I think a player on the last year of his contract who is a few months younger than me isn't exactly
the answer. There are some nice potential POWER forwards who could be in this next draft if we cannot acquire one that makes sense going forward to give us what A Davis could 3 years ago. I can see scenarios where we could move Channing to quasi-3 or 5 with more of a brute inside. for the tiem being, I think Jackie B--although not flashy, has meritted more minutes and a look at 4.

These teams lay off Davis and Rose, which causes other guys more diress.

Check AD's stats at NBA.com, it is alarming. Frye is averaging more rebounds than AD at this point. While there was a significant shift in Minutes played for the two, AD numbers are no where near his numbers last season and career average based on 48 MPG. He looks ancient, he takes off large amount of plays in games. He no longer has any lift. I can't believe Brown considers this guy the "Captain of Defense", Curry or James have to go around the guy to secure a rebound (notice that twice). Steph has to penetrate between him and the opposition for his drives. It is ridculous.

Its sad that maybe our best rebounder is a kid that will not get off the bench because Brown Doesn't trust him. If you ask for defense, rebounding and a better presence off the bench than Davis, David Lee has to be your guy. We should try at some point in the season to start Frye, who when he starts most of the time gets 7-9 boards, and bring Lee as his backup. We can rotate James, Curry and Butler too so that Lee just plays some minutes, not too much...

Briggs Why do you keep referring to next years draft? I mean, its great you know some prospects, but 1. Its going to be incredibly weak draft and 2. Chicago has our top pick, correct?

That’s a great point about David Lee, I’d love to see him get more minutes (or any minutes) and see if he could be the rebounder we need.

Theoretically we only had one pick last year but after trades we netted three. Many expect us to use some of our $30M expiring as trade bait, so it's highly conceivable additional picks could again come our way.

Did larry catch david flirting with his wife?

I mean, larry the genius, the master chef, working his magic.

But to continue to put malik and AD into games just doesn't make sense, not when all the numbers are there to refute their effectiveness.

AD's poor results are related to age- its only getting worse

If David Lee is so green, so unbridled that he would do worse than AD, he can only get better, learning from his mistakes- so that after 10-20 games, he'd be no worse than AD.

Could Isiah & LB be shopping Malik & AD?

i think it's a safe bet that if AD is not traded by the deadline, then we'll waive him so he can go back to chicago. losing him does not make any type of impact on our club. i don't think we'll waive penny UNLESS we get another guard in return. if we do, then we'll probably waive penny as well.
