I personally think Richard Jefferson is an extremely overated player and gets most of his points via Jason Kidd and his excellent passing ability. Richard is a pretty nice player, he can rebound and plays good defense but one thing he certainly can not do is; create much for himself.

If you look at Jefferson and his stats(courtesy of 82games.com), 70% of his scoring is assisted, there are no other "superstars" that even come close to that number. Carter is at 51%, Lebron James is at 30%. What im trying to say is that not many other guard/forwards in the NBA even come close to this number, it's ok for a C or a PF to average this number becuase they need to be passed the ball in the post to succeed, Jefferson on the other hand is not a good enough of a player to create his own shot and there aren't many players in this league that can pass the ball like Jason Kidd can and either Jefferson or Kidd leaving the Nets would have a very adverse affect on RJ. Eddy Curry even in his low state right now is still worth more then Richard Jefferson is.

Can't happen.

RJ's BYC.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Depends. You think we can win now? Do it. You think we are building for 3 years from now. No. Commit to one or the other, but not both.

NO WAY... Its funny how many people have changed their tune about Eddy Curry. This guy is gonna be good.. give him some time. We finally have a center that can be good, and you guys wanna deal him away.

Curry and Frye are our 4 & 5 of the future... Lets keep it that way. Our primary need now is at the 3, but not at the expense of either of those two players.

No to R.J. Lets first see Curry healthy and used correctly before dealing him...

I like Curry's upside too much to do that.

Nah. RJ is a lsasher and Steph is a slasher. We'd be left with the same problem, who can shoot the rock?

We need complimentary players, and I don't think he's the right fit for us. He'd be great on a team like Seattle, where they shoot alot already.

Definitely, RJ is a good passer but most importantly he can score and rebound at the 3, to make up for a lack of rebounding from the rest of our frontline. I'd probably want to see how Butler could handle bigger minutes but I think talent-wise it's too good to pass up.

RJ's a star, a very good scorer, a great rebounder, very good passer, and a great defender with a great attittude and work ethic. Yes, I'd do this trade.

I love Jefferson's game. I'd do it in a heartbeat, but, Rod Thron would have to be blackmailed or something into accepting a deal like that.

They have Krstic. Of course they could use one more big if they want to compete for a title this year.
