I voted yes. Alot of people that age could get in trouble for marijuana and I do mean ALOT so I'm not going to hold that against him. The dog-fighting? That's pretty stupid but I'm willing to put it behind and take a chance on him, he's athletic from what I know and has a pretty decent shot. He's got to be better then Barnes and with the lack of a SF worth starting right now, I'm willing to take a chance on the guy.

I voted No but I wouldn't care if they gave him a 10 day contract or whatever and see what he can do. But I'm tired of settling for players nobody else wants.

Get used to it. Those are the only players we can get at this point. Hell, aside form draft picks that's all we have now.

I don't want him. I don't want animal abusers, rapists or other violent criminals on the Knicks.

No thanks.

Matt was a class act.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Q deserves to be locked up, not on an NBA court. Poor dog.

I can't believe anyone would want this POS on the knicks. Personally, I don't care if he is as good as LeBron, anyone involved with abusing animals should be sweeping up sh!t in the street or in jail, not earning millions as a basketball player.

I could care less about the weed smoking, what he want to do with his body is his choice.

If the Knicks sign Woods it shows that the knicks don't care even a little bit about the true character of players on the team.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Alright, so the over-emotional are swaying this one negative. I vote to sign him. If he can play meaningfully, put a suit on him and give him the ball. End of analysis. He beats another dog, let the courts take care of him. Beside that, let him play.

Is this animal abusing thing for real? I don't know much about him but don't remember reading any report about that...

I would think it has more to do with people not being in love with the idea of signing rather than his problems with the law. won't hurt to give him a 10 day since he's the best we could do

Personally, I think abusing animals is on par with abusing children.

I don't mean scolding a pet/child and taking it too far.

I mean actual abuse.

So, Jason Kidd beat his wife. Would you not let him play? Fact of the matter seems that people think Q is not good enough to overlook his shortcomings. At under a million dollars, you cannot find a player of Wood's ability. Don't you think he would earn more had he pet his puppy rather than abused it? I do believe so. But now you must act self-interestedly. If he can help the team, and that is an "if" then is his salary worth the tangible and intangible characteristics he brings to the team. I vote yes. I don't think his action is the end of the discussion.
