18, 8 & 5, 3 steals 2 tos.

Shooting only 3-9 from the field, he still found a way to get to the line and went 12-14.

Plus he hit the runner that was the nail in the coffin.

That is true leadership right there. Finding a way to help your team even when you shot isnt falling.

BTW, Steph mostly played the 1 and Craw the 2 most of the game as well. How do some of you feel about that? It definitely seemed to work with them switching roles only a little bit.

steph as been a rock as of late. almost an afterthought last night as it was crawford and frye who held us in there offensively along with nate and ariza's energy on defense. steph's runner in the lane was awesome and what we wanted from him all along...help get everyone involved and then when we need a big shot, for him to hit it. and he's done that the past 2 home games.

He personified leadership last night. This is not a popular topic and I know why. Can you guess why?

He is not a leader on this team, he even said so much on the SAS interview. He wouldn't answer the question and finally said that he is "one of the leaders" i.e., he's not--he's not that kind of person or player. Quietly is exactly how Marbury needs to play, he needs to shut up and go out there and just play WITH his teammates.

b/c he ain't white!?!??

if steph keeps playing this way, there is NO WAY IN HELL i would want to move him. time will reveal all. and if it all works out, i will be the FIRST one here to eat my words. i like steph and want to win. everything is always rosey after a win and horrific after a loss. we play well at home...then take a step back on the road. just part of the process.

Yeah, that's it, no black players are leaders. Not Garnett, not Duncan, not Shaq, not Billups, not Kidd, not Lebron, not Frye, not AD...

Funny how you wanna pick his quotes to support your arguments. He also said he was the best PG, do you wanna give that any credibility?

THEY need to play with HIM, as is and has been our most consistant player by a mile.

Its always interesting to hear how the haters can spin things.

Hate away. Net fan.

Lol. Let's not get it twisted. He didn't exactly PERSONIFY leadership.

Where do you guys get this **** from?

He had a very good game though......as good as you can expect right now.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Steph made some great passes lastnight. It's too bad 75% of them were to AD where he lost the ball but he still put up some solid Chauncey Billups #s. I really reallycan't wait to see Curry/Frye!!!

I was beaten unmercifully until I agreed to become a Knicks fan.

Craw/Nate and Frye led this team to victory last night. Until Isiah finds a taker (perhaps Atl in a Joe Johnson swap), Steph hitching his wagon to their train would be the team spirited thing to do.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

Are you comparing him to Chauncey b/c Chauncey was the previous PG Brown coached? I don't think they're very similar players. Steph has much more scoring potential than Chauncey and until this year racked up far more assists. Chauncey's as solid as they come on defense, though.

I'm just saying I much rather see 18/8/5 and some excellent passes from Marbury and we win 30 & 8 and we lose by 1 point because we were relying on Marbury to take the last shot only to pass it off to Crawford with little time left or miss FT's. Marbury showed some great PG play lastnight! I think he's starting to get accustomed to being a Larry Brown PG. By the time the season is over the league & fans will look at him differently hopefully

I like what I'm seeing from Marbury this year. It probably has to do with having LB as the coach, and with having some better players around him. It hasn't translated into a great w/l record yet, but I'm hopeful.

https:// It's not so hard.

I think I'm crazy because I'm ignoring the 0-5 start. You know, the extended preseason. The one with the different starting lineups and the tentative players.

the one that had the rooks winning a game against GS, only to be benched to "learn a lesson"

This bunch looks nothing like that squad.

We're 5-4 as far as I'm concerned.

all kool aid all the time.
