im not giving up on anyone, im not giving up on getting younger, but I would like to see us take advatage of the Raptors who will lose james if they dont deal him anyway. we need a guard, mike james is a good pro guard who can play the point. there are better opportunities for those guys in Toronto and with our make up, mike james makes tons of sense. with the 2006 raprtor 2 and the SA 1, in this draft we could replace anything lost.

IF, IF, Mike James opts out of his contract the Raptors can offer him their MLE, so it's not a lock they lose him. From NYK's perspective, better to keep the kids or use them to trade for an All-Star/Super Star. James would just come off the bench for us behind our best player and be more likely to leave here than Toronto. Both can offer MLE, but he can start there instead of the few minutes he'd get here.

Mike James is a 2 guard in a point guard's body. Dude rather play 2. He's not the answer.

Mike James assist to turnover ratio for his career isn't great. He does shoot it pretty well though.

we arent getting an all star with nate, barnes and butler mike james is as good as wed get for those guys. of course he will opt out if he continues this play and someone will give him 20+for 4.

I like mike James a lot. He doesn't fit here. Mike James is ready to get paid. Knicks don't need him if marbs is around.

About flip Murray. The dude already proved he can be a prolific scorer in this league. He can't seem to get it going sitting on the bench behind eat Allen but who could? Again flips is not the answer here now since craw is here. If given the opportunity I still believe he can get you 20pts per game.

I don't care if Martin gets on me. But aren't you the one who said that Robinson was going to be something special. Did your opinion of him change? Or is this a passing fancy?

Pharzeone is right, you were hyping Robinson before the NYK even drafted him (I gotta give you credit for that, good call) but now you want to move him? Plus you just said if James keeps playing like this he'll opt out and somebody would offer him a big deal. That means there's a good chance we'd lose him if he could start on the other team. This trade makes absolutely no sense.

I don't consider one player over the team
I like Nate for pick 30 and he will be a good player in this league despite what some people on here say. I know what he will be able to do, but he is NOT a LB player, he is not even close. It will be a constant struggle because he is a true combo and 5-7 and LB doesn't want him. IF we can get James, we get him for 60 games--maybe we make the decision to keep him, thats why the second round pick is included, becaus eit like throwing the first pick of r2 2006 back at us.

Make no sense? we have 2 pro guards on our team. other guys are not guards--q -rich, or not ready for big time minutes--nate R--so we take scking for develoment when we have no draft pick? no way. If I can get Patterson and James for what I outlined and that pick, I would do it in 4 seconds.

I know the Knicks used Nate in their marketing plans, but this team scks, its worse than last years version. I hate when people say , oh we have 9 new guys--well so does Phoenix, so does a lot of teams--its ONLY KNICK fans who use it as excuse. Nate's a good pick, at 30 but we need to improve the team.

That's fine but what did you have in mind exactly when you said this team was instant serious title contenders as soon as we got Curry? Maybe the people who say "we have a new system with new players and it will take time" hate it when a poster takes 180 reversals on the team in just a few weeks.

If LB didn't want him, he wouldn't play him. (See Darko). LB has him as part of the regular rotation. Don't believe the papers.

Why is Mike James the flavor of the week? Forget that kid. Let's go get Salmons, or maybe Jalen Rose instead, but especially Lampe!

Seriously though, I like Mike James (thought that was a terrible trade for Houston even before James put up his Toronto #s), but c'mon. I dunno. Doesn't playing pretend GM get boring after a while?
