Didn't see this coming...?

Well, wake up.

B/c we're a mediocre team with a bad payroll and lots of potential.

So now that you know what we are, sit back, relax, have a beer, and just watch the games.

Everyone freaks out about "Larry's rotation" or "Stephon's selfishness" or "Nate's a novelty"...

Who friggin cares. What -- you expected a really good team this season? Are you surprised?

Don't be...Let's enjoy watching Frye put up great rookie numbers, and Curry show that Shaq-potential, and Lee play like Mase w/o the track record (or cursive on the back of his head)

Capiche?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I agree. And by the trade deadline we will add another piece or two. Just need patience.

This is my 1st post and i couldn't disagree any more than this situation. I can't stand isiah he has ruined this team. He still has no true center, outside shooter, big rebounder or a defensive specialist. How is this team improving, the only upside is Frye and Lee. Curry is a good player but he is not a rebounder and can't hit free throws. Crawford is a joke to watch, he is one of the worst 2 guards in the league. Nate is just to small and out of control. Ariza has no offensive skills except when he dunks. Its a sad story, instead of rebuilding and trying to get under the cap we will trade penney and antonio for more contracts. We have by far the worst outside shootig team in the league. Our best outside shooter is Fyre. What a joke!!!! Rebuild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

i agree but didn't you just respond about 250 times in the KG thread why we should trade frye away? it's a message board - people will post what they want. just like you did before the season started about trading crawford (like 10 times a day). it's all good, nobody's posts are worth more than anybody else's so if people feel like voicing their "sky is falling" stuff, then it's ok.

Then why did YOU say we were instant serious title contenders when we got Curry? I don't think anyone overhyped Curry more than YOU did

Good points by Tom and Bobs. I'm pleased with the future we have with Curry, Lee, and Frye. I want the team to win now but I don't mind missing the playoffs if we see continuous improvement from the key young kids. Many young teams miss the playoffs and then win 50 the next season. Young teams usually don't win a lot of games until the players learn the NBA game better.

Capiche! I would be a bit more upset with things but IN Larry I trust. This is a long process, a multiyear process fo rthat matter.

I thought Steph did a good job last nite. The turnovers were the lone mark on his performance.

We were missing our two centers, and we are fragile right now.

My Game picker status confirms my non belief in this team to win, but we are making progress. I see it every game.

Last nite We ran a backdoor play! Very unknick like!

Yes, I can seem pretty flippant about my POV's but that's only b/c my POV changes from month to month as things change.

But since the season begin I didn't really have any expectations, and I don't now.

As soon as Isiah landed Curry I knew we were set for atleast the future. So I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. This is our "scrap" season.

Kinda like scrap paper...only different.

Good point about Curry. Is he ever gonna really give more production than Sweetney? Sweetney can rebound better and if he ever drops some weight and stays out of foul trouble, will average about 18 a game. Curry's upside is about 20 and 8 but he will have a long way to go to get there.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I agree that this team sucks.

Do I think they are heading in the right direction? Kinda.

We seem to have some great young talent, but we also just took on some crap in James and Q who appears done. I'd rather we just traded KT for a pick and a young prospect then Q whose back is really awful lookin right now.

My ope is that IT gets fired eventually, cause he brings way to much bad things with him that outweigh his great drafting ability. Last thing I want to see him with is a enough cap to sign an FA in the future. Given his track record he'd prolly get the worst one for the most money.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

All the more reason to glue AD's and Rose's butts to the bench.
