Get Stack and Devin Harris for Crawford and Malik Rose. Stack can score on anyone and get to the line. Scoring is sometimes a problem with this team. Devin Harris can audition along with Nate for minutes at the point and/or two guard, depending on where LB decides Stephon belongs. Would Dallas do this? The upside of Crawford and their style might make it worthwhile, and Rose gives them some veteran leadership for a playoff caliber team. We take a chance on Harris and get some now scoring from Stack.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

i proposed mo taylor for stack a few days ago. moving craw would make us have even less depth in the backcourt.

They'd never do it for Mo Taylor, what's in it for them? Stack can play 2 guard if we need scoring, and Harris and Nate can get minutes at the point or two when Marbury is at the point. Stack can score even more than Craw as I am sure you know, given the minutes.

so they take on 4 years of rose's contract just so they can get crawford when they already have a carbon copy in jet?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Terry and Crawford could be dynamic together, and Craw is young. Remember, anything that spreads the floor for Dirk is great, not to mention Stack goes in the paint constantly, and Howard needs room there. I don't think they love Stack, and Nelson is crazy about spacing the floor which JC would allow them to do.

PS- I know Nelson isn't coaching the team, Avery Johnson is, but Nelson calls the shots with moves I am sure.

Yes, with Christie set to retire, they could use another SG.

But that SG isn't Crawford.

It's Stack himself.

And Devin Harris isn't worth Crawford if you're Mavs management...

They are hardly playing Devin Harris, I think he is getting like 15 minutes a night.

Dallas wouldn't give up Harris and take back that many more years and that much money. Also, Dallas is winning now and that's a major shakeup with no talent upgrade. Also, I think Craw is worth keeping around and working with. His trade value is pretty low right now, trade him when it's higher if you're gonna trade him.

Sorry, not dumb trade, but not-gone-happen-trade.

Craw's value isn't going to get any better, that's the problem, imho. I don't know, I think Dallas could get a big upgrade for their style, if they took the chance. LB is less forgiving of the ways of JC.

While we are at it, lets trade Penny for Shaq. You know, for cap releaf.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Don't beat a dead horse into the ground.

I've suggested tons of bad trades before. Gotta take it in strides man...

Alright, let's stay put. What the hell, 30 wins isn't bad. I didn't know Devin Harris was the second coming of Magic Johnson. Stack wore out his welcome in how many places? Dallas has won how many conference championships, God forbid they tinker with their roster. You guys act like Dallas is a notch behind San Antonio.

Devin Harris will eventually be killing the league any day now...he would already be doing so if he didn't have to share the role with Terry.

Stack is a good player but cuz of his age and health issues he might be had for Crawford straight up. Craw is not Stackhouse yet but you should keep Craw in this case. How can the Knicks get Stack without giving up Q and Craw?

Dallas isn't that big a deal. They are no better than Houston, Seattle, or Phoenix when healthy for that matter. As is, they aren't going to begin any climb.

Seattle and Houston have been awful. Not sure how Seattle plans on getting better. Houston will obviously improve with Tmac, but how much? Yao is a dud. I wouldn't trade Frye for Yao right now. Phoenix is obviously a huge question mark with how Amare responds to his injury. Dallas is pretty clearly the second best team in the west. Their only real competition is the Clips and Nuggs.
