I got bored and compiled these stats:

Kurt Thomas: 22.6 mpg, 8.2 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 0.78 BPG
Mike Sweetney: 23.4 mpg, 11.6 PPG, 8.1 RPG, 0.75 BPG
Tim Thomas: 10.7 mpg, 4.3 PPG, 1.3 RPG
Nazr Mohammed: 9.1 mpg, 3.4 PPG , 2.6 RPG, 0.30 BPG
Keith Van Horn: 28.7 mpg, 14.1 PPG, 6.4 RPG
DerMarr Johnson: 15.4 mpg, 4.4 PPG, 2.5 RPG

Mike's playing very well (and is dangerously close to the 12/8 prediction!) and Keith is playing very well off the bench for Dallas. Nazy and TT are putting up awful #s. I thought Kurt's #s would go down but I didn't think they'd go down this much.

damn.

I didn't realize Sweets was putting up those type of numbers.

Well, no point in regretting the trade.

Curry is still only 22, and provides the type of dominant force Sweets could only dream of...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I miss Sweetney as well, but can't do anything about it, just move on and make the best of it, Curry has done well, Frye is doing great and Lee when he has had minutes has but up similar numbers in Rebs, and Sweetney has been around 3 yrs, our kids are just getting started!. Not bad for 4 yr College kids!

Curry's season #s are just as good as Mike's and Curry obviously has a trillion times the upside. It would have been ideal (but unrealistic) if we could have kept Sweetney while getting Curry, though.

That's too bad about KVH. He seemed to always get hurt when he started playing well.

Knicks bigs, past and present (**).

player pts/40 eFG% FTM/FGA TO-r reb-r PER
-----------------------------------------------------
Sweets 19.9 52.9 .27 11.8 19.7 23.3
Frye 23.6 47.7 .20 12.1 14.7 22.6 **
KVH 19.7 50.7 .40 16.3 13.0 18.6
Lee 11.8 50.0 .08 23.5 26.8 18.2 **
Curry 21.3 48.8 .45 21.2 16.2 17.6 **
Mo 12.1 52.4 .24 15.5 13.0 15.5 **
KT 14.5 44.1 .12 8.1 13.7 13.2
TT 16.3 40.6 0 5.3 7.1 10.2 (only 3 games)
Nazr 12.7 55.0 .15 29.3 16.0 8.2
AD 6.6 35.1 .27 16.6 12.3 7.6 **
Malik 8.1 27.3 .24 16.3 13.2 7.0

Definitely movin' on up overall, I'd say. Sweets is looking great for Chicago, but really, I'd rather have a C/PF unit of Curry and Frye (great size) than Frye and Sweets (undersized) for the long haul.

I was just posting about Knicks that Isiah obtained or traded but we could have added Camby and Nene to the list if we wanted to go back to the Layden era.

Isn't it ironic that sweetney is on the bulls ? He's built like one now he gets to run with them.

Camby loves the Knicks too. I heard him on the pre game radio show when we played Denver. He really loves the knicks, and without saying it it is clear he wants to be here. Its not gonna happen though, unless they implode, and even then, Camby is playing so out of his mind that it wouldn't make sense to let him go now.

as good as some guys like lebron wade kobe have been Marcus Camby is the MVP so far if he plays a healthy 75 games like this, and Denver sniffs the playoffs without kmart and nene and really no SG, he is a runaway MVP.
