last night during the hawks/mavs telecast, the announcer said that since josh smith is from atlanta and playing at home, many of his friends are getting in his ear and he's starting to believe his own hype...

josh smith did the same exact thuing as ok4, he put on way to much muscle weight-training and now he is something like 6-9 245 compared to a sleek 6-9 228. from watching him, he lost what he had turned into late last year--they need to lose the weight/both of them, especially josh. emeka is smart and will adjust and likely reconfigure his build. Josh is probably likeing his new dieselness for the young ladies and probably does not give a F about basketball.

I think Josh Smith is another guy that has no feel for the game and he cant shoot a lick. When someone shoots under 40% unless it is a three kills a team. He can block some shots but I dont think he will ever be a great player.

I still feel having Wally, Craw and Q on the same team is a scary thought for us

this is a little bit crazy. Now I dont think what he did to his body-putting on the weight, even all muscle, was condisive to his game.

You are talking about a 19 old kid who didnt play 1 minute of CBB, who in his first year put up multiple double digit rebound and point games, had many great shot-blocking games including 10 against Dallas--a kid who dominated the Knicks in a late season game inside, won the NBA dunk contest--averaged 10 pts 6-2-2 45% for the year how much more can a 19 year old do, and I guess his game is defined at 19? I think they will realize he put to much weight on and they will get him to reconfigure his body back to 225, and he will go back to what he did in his first year. you dont have to have great fundamentals when you are 6-9 with a 42 inch vertical. And he can also work to improve those.

in a heartbeat whats to think about you get cap flexibility, and you let your contracts expire, you tank the season let the kids develop and than move harrington right after you trade for him for a draft choice....smith is a stud you can play him at the 3/4 next to frye and curry......

get it done, look at the big picture....

I will never root for this, ever.

I think it's weak that teams do it.

lue sucks, harrington has a bad chronic knee, bad trade
giving up way too much
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

you think Zeke was in LA because Kobe is going to be coming to New York with Odom for Marbs and others?

The Kobe/LB love affair in the papers was everywhere.

does it make sense to do any trades until larry brown figures out exactly what he has on this team and who fits where and weho doesnt fit at all? Cuase I dont think he has yet.

lateral move at best. not to mention neither plays much defense.

And I agree....no moves till February. It would be unfair to pass final judgement on this team so soon.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

what's with the rush to trade marbury? if we're looking for tinkering, why not dangle craw, q or malilk? Why does it have to be our best player for assorted parts which might be attained with lesser players?

too early to trade Marbury.

why trade something when you don't even know what it is you're trading yet? (meaning Steph COULD evolve...no one knows for sure)

NO THANKS to wally sczerbiak. his contract is murder. especially for a SUPERIOR talent like marbury. there's nothing from minnesota that i would want.

my gut says we stick it out with marbury for the rest of the year and revisit this on draft night.

Briggs look at his game this year and how he is playing. He will shoot under 40% for the year and isnt playing hard all the time,.
