First of all he has a big heart and is not afraid at all!!!!

Hes good in the post.
Hes MONEY on the perimeter, with a very quick release.

I need to see if he can put the ball on the floor.

He is being underutilized, especially if Mo is in street clothes.
He is our best offensive option at the 4 by a long shot if Mo isn't around.
He needs some work on defense, and I need to see more of him in the post, but this kid is truly truly a special player. Isiah is a genius.

Briggs is right. He need to bring it on the boards more. Just focus on boxing out and not going for so many blocks.

HEy between Duncan and Frye , they both spent 4 yrs at a established b-ball college institution respectively.. Wake Forest & Arizona.

Im not worried about Frye.. He could end up being the best Knick front player within 2 yrs..

He needs work and experience to keep growing... like the kind of experience that comes with playing a full NBA season (and two rounds of the playoffs -- yes, I'm predicting second round for this team). But he does show flashes of similarities to TD and Sheed. In some small ways he even reminds me a bit of Kareem. Small ways only though, so please don't flame for that.

there were too many balls that were in his hands that he didn't grab.
hopefully he will break that trend.

but other than that - we need to post him up more and run some more plays for him. he got game and he don't give a f ck.

Tim Duncan? Lets not get carried here guys. This is exactly what I was talking about when I said we overrated our own guys. Tim Duncan was a hall of famer his rookie season. Channing Frye is very skilled but no where near Duncan. He's not aggresive going for boards yet, when he's in traffic and he totally needs to assert himself in the 4th quarter. In the first half, he was mixing it up like crazy and was playing like a mad man, but in the second half, it was mainly jump shots. He needs to do the posting more and the jumpshots will come.

I love the guy, he's real good and has a real good career to look foward to, but lets not go crazy. He's DEFINITELY not Tim Duncan. That's almost as silly as the Ariza/Marion comparisons.

I think he is comparing his skill set to duncan, not comparing frye the player to duncan.... It is a simple comment.. really, nothing to jump out of a window over....

He's a good fundamental scorer. You can compare him to Duncan like that. Other than that though, Duncan is in a new atmosphere. Frye really needs to improve that rebounding. There were about 5 or 6 rebounds he had and it was ripped right out of his hands.

channing is going to be a really good player, but he is quite different then Tim Duncan from core strength down the line. channing is his own man, let his game define who he is

yeah grabbing only 3rebs because other guys are rebounding is one thing but letting so many rebounds get away in a game where getting outrebounded was one of the key aspects is unexceptable. He has to improve. There's still hope. Look how LArry got on Curry about rebounding

Duncan is who I was told Zeke was reminded of when he watched him. He also saw some `Sheed. It's hilarious that everyone is starting to agree with him.

Frye has rebounded well until last night. So he can do it. And Brown will probably get on him about it.

I'm not worried about Frye either but 2 years? Who is the best front court player now? FRYE hands down is! He is fearless. He needs to be given the starting spot and just let him take his licks. I truly believe right now he will be giving more licks than he takes.

Kid is nice. He is just as athletic as Sheed was early in his career. He's got a mean jumpshot. He's like a shooting guard but he has agreat post game. His Hook shots is money all day. Dude can shoot it well with both hands. There was a play where he got deep position and right after he caught a pass he just jumped straight up and turned right into a hook. No way you can guard that!!!

I truly believe if this kid got the minutes he'd average 16-17/8/2 if they look to him as a go to guy. Then next youear you would expect him to do numbers like 20 plus/9-10.....

FYI....this is a dude that has yet to really show if he can put the ball on the floor. That is coming next....he would be a complete player if that ever happens.

Ah man he is like a grayhound running the floor too.

So his rebounding in one game is the reason guys are down on him. He did score 20pts.

Frye needs to start. He will get those rebounds in 2 months.....but he needs to play now. No one is better than him on the Knicks.

Kid shows a grit that is just special. I know tonight he is dreaming about those rebounds and he is probably gonna be determined to make sure that never happens again. He looks upset at himself when he is out there but he doesn't get down....the kid is just a gamer.....I'm Glad he is a Knick.

Thank God we have a player that gives a **** and plays hard and to win at all times.

Uh... Lee needs to learn who his teammates are and recognized them when they establish position. I saw 3 times where he fought his own teammate (Frye twice) for a rebound only to let it sail out of bounds. It seems to be an ongoing problem with Lee. He is so focused on getting the rebound he is not playing smart. As far as Frye getting rebounds past him. The guy had to help clog the lane because the Laker perimeter players (KOBE)was able to spin and penetrate in the lane. Curry is a center who doesn't block shots. The Knicks had to have a guy to intimidate guys in the lane.

Duncan had a two big advantages when he came into the league. He was playing alongside a HOFer who got most of the defensive attention and was coming onto a quality team which was in a position to draft him because of Robinson's injury and the luck of the draw.
