After a few preseason and regular season it's become quite obvious to me that....quite frankly, the Refs have a bone to pick with Isiah, LB, Steph, the rest of the team & the Knicks organization as a whole. It's clear that the refs have an issue with Steph on the court. This dude gets fouled constantly on his forays to the lane and they do not call it (don't wanna hear Iverson's smaller comparisons). Last night he got the hell knocked out of him on a drive. The shot goes in but they don't call it for the 3 point opportunity.

The strips of Curry go over about 100% of the time and some of them are obvious fouls. The flops people are doing on him are ridiculous.

Now, Detroit would play really aggressive defense last year but get away with it. Absolutely, they got that respect because they were world champs with a respected coach and organization. Now however that coach is not well liked in NBA circles because of the way the Detroit situation went down.

Isiah is universally hated by both Owners, GMs and Coaches (some of whom he played against personally). The gall of him to make trades to practically steal Curry from the Bulls (and yes, I am still a Sweetney fan..although the trade in retrospect was a no brainer). The gall of him to steal LB from the Pistons.

Steph, tatoos and frown...he's not a winner. You know the rest.

The owners clearly have disdain for Dolan. He's got all of that money and a unlimited fan base that allows him to spend his way out of his predicatment. The gall of him to steal another respected owners HOF coach. The gall to align himself with that snakeoil salesman Isiah (and that smile...like a cotton mouth mocasin )

The league from the owners, to the other GM's, to the other coaches and the Refs......have a bone to pick with the KNICKS. Why do you think Paxson was crying.

All....except for the agents of course (except Falk).

Winning cures all of this.

If we start winning suddenly Curry will get the same calls as Shaq Marbury will magically be called a winner and JC will be the guard that sacrifices himself for the good of the team. Winning changes everythign.

Um. This is just about the Knicks players learning how to play the game the way the refs are calling it. I admit that Steph and Curry get butchered out there, but many offensive stars do. The league has terrible officials in general right now. A lot of teams lose games because of the officiating.

It's been like that for years now with the Knicks, I remember a game against the LAkers a couple of years ago, the Knicks had over 30 fouls called against them almost every time the lakers' had the ball, the went to the line, it was disgusting!.

Everyone think Frye or Curry are foul prone, when It really is that they are Knicks and are young so they have targets on their back for the Refs to shoot at, sure this sounds crazy, but it's too many times to not think that way.

But it's the way of life in the NBA, right! NOT!

Nah, this is about respect. Steph should not be getting fouled like that with no call. Many offensive stars do NOT get butchered without calls. Curry still has to earn his stripes, but they were never this hard on Shaq when he was young in the league.

Well, you're right - it is about respect. But it works both ways. The Knicks have to improve their demeanor on the court if they're gonna get calls from the refs. This is why it's good to have Brown here and Malik on the floor, both guys know how to respectfully work the refs. Steph has a reputation as Sirs Scowls-a-lot and so did KT. That's not going to win the refs over. Eddy obviously gets frustrated. It works better to just explain your case to the ref and they'll be more likely to treat you fairly. If you scowl at them and show them up, they'll give you a hard time all night every night. I think Brown will help improve this eventually. I don't think there's some mass conspiracy against New York, I think the team's attitude over the past few years hasn't endeared itself to various refs.

I actually heard an interview with Eddie Rush who said that Stephon is one of the more respected players in the league because he is willing to talk to refs. I think the fact that Marbury is strong enough to take a hit and still get a shot off hurts him. He doesn't fall all over the place like Iverson. But I don't think he is disrespected.

Curry on the other hand does not get a fair shake in my view. But he didn't in Chicago either. I think it's more about the fact that we haven't won. Good teams always get the breaks. That's the way it has always been

Now to the topic at hand. I do feel there is a bullseye on Isiah's back which makes it hard for him to stick around any team he's working with to see the fruits of his labor. When the Knicks make the playoffs and if they get put out in the first or second round the guys on our team will be called underachievers even though nobody even picked them to make the playoffs. It's just the nature of the beast. Everyone in the media other then Stephen A Smith would like to see these guys fail so if there was a memo going out to the refs to call every ticky tack flop by opposing players I would not be surprised. Yet and still if we make our shots and keep our composure which is what Larry Brown is here for then we'll have a good year regardless of the very poor officiating that has taken over the NBA.

Yup, I heard that said about Marbury. He is treated different from that aspect compared to someone like Lue. As far as not getting calls, it has more to do with Brown, who is known as a complainer to officals. I think he led the league for a couple of years in technical fouls for a coach.

Well the head of the officials is a white guy and he has probably threatened them. The black refs love the knicks but they just can't show it for fear of losing their jobs
