Chicago Tribune - Tim Thomas has been a Bull for less than two months but already he is prepared to move on.

He said Monday he believes the Bulls want to trade him.

He prefers they do it sooner rather than later.

"It's just a waste of time being here if I'm not going to play and help the team," Thomas said before the Bulls played the Golden State Warriors late Monday night. "On the other hand, it seems like it's a waste of time for the organization. So let's just shake hands and go about it and part ways."

Thomas had not played in three straight games heading into the Bulls' six-game road swing.

Reached at his Deerfield office, Bulls general manager John Paxson said a trade isn't in the works.

"I have not spoken to another team about Tim, or any other player on our roster for that matter, in terms of a trade this early in the season," he said. [READ]

he is kind of right, because he wants to play to earn his next contract

but he will get playing time with the bulls as soon as they work him in the lineup, the bulls have players at the 3-SF-Deng/Nicioni and some rookie
4-PF-Harrington/Sweetny/Songalia

unless he wants to backup 5-C-Chandler/Thomas

and he can't really manage that responsibility

shooot...i rather keep james

and malik has higher value than timmy now..dont knock malik man...his offense may suck but he plays pretty good defense for a guy whos undersized

i could imagine them trade tim thomas to phoenix for like a 2nd round draft pick and filler...he might play good off the suns bench

mr. tt really blew his opportunity here. he could have had the offense keying through him. he could have easily been an 18/5 player here with his abilites and he could have gotten whatever contract he wantead for it. but nooooo . . . . .

TT has a nice expiring contract. I'd gladly trade JJ and Malik for him and then quickly trade TT

I think we can get a player better than JJ with TT's expiring contract. Hopefully Curry will be in better shape by then and be playing about 8 more mpg than he is now too, which leaves a smaller role for JJ. If we could turn TT's expiring contract into a solid SG/SF who can hit 3s off the bench, that would really help.

then your back up center is butler only? you want frye there too (i almost said you want fryes with that?). that's pretty exposed. remembr eddy can get 2 offensive fouls in the first 3 minutes of a game.

We would be better if we had Thomas rather than Barnes. JJ and Malik Rose are not being very useful to say the least. (right, malik played decent yesterday)

See, when you have a player as talented as Tim Thomas, it can be really hard to find a spot for him on the roster.
https:// It's not so hard.

There is no way in hell TT gets traded back here. The Bulls were idiots to include him in the trade. Penny wouldve been more beneficial. Tim Thomas is pathetic, and theres only so many teams he can complain about. Milwaukee, the Big 3, George Karl all treat him unfair, NY, Stephon Marbury treat him unfair. The league treats his amazing talent unfair. Eventually you have to look in the mirror and accept that you, as an NBA player, are a bust. Not because of talent, but because of your attitude.

They'll prob use him in a trade for Peja. His contract will expire and somebody will waste a million on him next year.
