While I think it is entirely possible the Knicks will be 1-5 after this game, I just hope they dont underestimate a falling Kings team and go 0-6. If they lose this game then it will be a true distinction that something is structurally wrong with the team.

This is a very winable game...just like some of the losses that have already piled up. Personally I think they could have won every single game they have played so far and I know many of you agree. While it is frustrating to be 0-5 there have been many positive signs as some posters have pointed out. This gane will be a measure of how much this team has learned together, or if they are ignoring these lessons and continuing to fall apart in the second half.

Go Orange and Blue - lets get win #1 and move on from there.

Thinking about playing the kings on the road reminds me of the disgrace of a game last year when we were up by like 15 points with a minute left in the fourth and still somehow wound up losing. anyway, to be honest we'll probably lose this game, but Im curious to see what adjustments brown and the team has made

Kings started year off bad but we falling to 0-6. I actually think we going 0-9..and then we'll win a game when we go back home and everyone can cheer and bring up bulls 0-9 start.

Brown indicated he will likely activate former King Matt Barnes, and may start him to defend Peja Stojakovic instead of the undersized Quentin Richardson.

Barnes, who started the first three games before being added to the inactive list, had a good season with Sacramento last year, but didn't play aftere he got traded to Philly in the Chris Webber deal.

Hence, Barnes — who hit the game-winning free throws in the Kings' OT victory over the Knicks last season — was still a free agent, three days into training camp.

It could be Brown's fourth different starting lineup in six games. . . .

Brown also hinted that Jackie Butler may be activated soon. Brown said the center had been the best big man at the team's last two practices.

Wow, good stuff. Let's see what he can do tonight! I hope he gets to play like 20 min.

SACRAMENTO - The losing is bad enough, but what is really starting to bother Larry Brown is that his team can't take a punch.
The Knicks are off to a 0-5 start, and in all five games they've shown a tendency to crumble at the first sign of adversity. Brown watched it again in Friday's 86-84 loss to the Warriors, a game that saw the Knicks blow a 13-point lead. In the third quarter, Golden State used an early 17-6 run to draw even for the first time.

"Almost every game has been similar in one way, shape or form," Brown said. "I saw our body language go down in the third quarter. I just told them we can't expect to lose. You've got to keep fighting and we came back. If we had a better third quarter we wouldn't have to play perfect in the fourth quarter."

Brown believes the Knicks need to and will develop a collective mental toughness.

"Obviously, some guys are more competitive than others," he said. "A lot of times when things go bad for us it becomes an individual sport and that's the thing that can't happen."

Bibby always plays well against the Knicks and Marbury. I think the Kings also have a mismatch at every position.

I think we can win this game, but I want a good win, a tough win, I want the Kings to play great and us to play even better. Just being 1-5 instead of 0-6 won't make Knicks fans happy unless there is really promise there.
