It seems a lot of posters have definitive ideas on who should or should not be playing - but in total I'm hearing a lot of different names. Personally, I can see why Brown is having trouble figuring it out. So, I'd like to see what you are thinking. Pick your eight - just eight - I want to see who people think should be getting significant minutes. If you'll indulge me do it before reading everyone else's responses.

Latest Tally 18 opinions (AllanFan I only included your top 7 as you had a tie for 8th)
Fish I only counted your top seven you have to decide between Mo and Lee.
Lots of agreement on the top seven. Lee, Taylor and Nate fighting for that last spot.
curry 18

ariza 18
q 17

Q can be first off the bench.
Then Davis, Lee...

Mo T, Nate, Butler, Barnes can still get limited burn.

IL: Penny, Rose, James.

SO far we have six response. The starters based on these posts
Starters: Curry, Marbs, Ariza, Fry, Q
Bench: Craw, lee, Davis
Actual minutes played in order: Marbs, craw, davis, Curry, Q, Ariza, Frye, Taylor

SO the opinions here indicate:
> PLay davis less and Frye more,
> Play Ariza more and Craw less,
> Move lee into the rotation and take Taylor out.

Brown (Based on Minutes Played)
Curry 6 starting votes Curry
Marbs 6 starting votes Marbs
Ariza 5 starts, 6 total Craw
Q 5 starts, 6 total Q
Fry 5 starts, 6 total Davis

Craw 3 starts, 6 total Ariza
lee 1 starts, 5 total Taylor
Davis 3 total Frye
nate 2 total
Taylor 1 start, 1 Total
butler 1 Total

lee - listed in 4 responses
Davis - listed in 3 responses

Guys actually playing the most thus far in Order

Hardcore snuck one in while I was composing - but he has the same top 8. But he's another vote for Craw to start over Q.

I picked Craw to start because he needs to get used to orchestrating the offense, especially if Stephon gets the green light. Q had a slow start with the hamstring injury. Although I think he'll challenge for a starting spot eventually, Stariza deserves to get some light right now.

It's too hard to go with only 8 on this team. Too many good players that need to play at least a little:

PG- Crawford 35 mpg
SG- Marbury 35 mpg
SF- Quentin 30 mpg
PF- Frye 26 mpg
C- Curry 30 mpg

Ariza 24 mpg
Nate 20 mpg
Davis 15 mpg
Lee 15 mpg
Mo T 10 mpg

I like how Mo T has played this season, so the 3 guys in Davis, Lee and Mo T would have to switch around, but I really want to see Lee get those consistent 15 mpg. I really don't see any reason why Davis has to be playing so much if he's not going to even be here much longer. I hate the idea of playing guys just to increase trade value when there are others who have earned their right to play. It's not right.

I'm also pretty confident that Q wont be playing like crap the entire season. It will come to him. Nate needs game experience, plain and simple.

SL: Marbury/Craw/Q/Frye/Curry
bench: Ariza/Nate/Lee/Mo T

I know thats 9 but both Lee and Mo T deserve to play IMO. Mo's done a good job and has worked hard to do the little things. Good for him. He's also rounding into shape and putting his body out there. I'm already done with AD. JJ is JJ. Penny cant move and Rose is a f/t sub if at all.

Fish - make it 8. If you had to not play someone who would it be.

Probably been put out there already, but I'll indulge and give my preferred 8 before looking at everyone else's ideas.

Starters:

PG Crawford
SG Marbury
SF Richardson
PF Taylor
C Curry

Bench:
SF/SG Ariza
PF/SF Lee
PF/C Frye

One of Marbury and Craw is on the floor at all times to play PG. First sub is Ariza coming in for one of those two, with Q sliding to SG. Frye comes off the bench to be Curry's primary backup at C and also plays some PF alongside Curry. Lee plays mostly PF and some SF as well, bringing indispensible energy and bball IQ.

Nate is too wild to play steady PG minutes right now. AD is a tough omission-- contrary to some opinions here I think he brings something valuable to the table for this team-- but Lee must see playing time. Butler is also a tough omission; I'd love to see him get solid PT but again, Lee and Frye must come first. Taylor's ability to score is valuable for this team and thus far this season he's been putting forth a good showing on D, so he's too valuable to bench for Butler and Davis as well.

LB will not do anything like this this season (he will not force AD out of the rotation for one thing), and I don't mind that at all.
