I think its worth a shot. He can create an offensive mismatch at the 3. And his length and speed should be enough to allow him to stay with his man on D. The rebounding the extra post presence, the outside touch. Why not? I mean can he guard Vince? NO. But who can? And then when Vince has to guard him, theres really a problem. And Vince in foul trouble is more crucial to them than Frye in foul trouble is to us.

Its worth a shot.

If they put him @ the 3 then we hope the knicks have a backcourt with great ball handling skills.. One thing about Frye, he's a natural 4 or 5.. He can't handle the ball like Lamar Odom..

What happens when teams start pressing the knicks on defense by taking the ball away from the backcourt and forcing Frye to bring the ball up, they'll be screwed...

He's better off @ the 4 or 5 unless they put him at the 3 and your 1,2, and possibly 4 have great ball handling skills breaking the press...

Same thing with Lee at the 3 right now. SF in this league run around a LOT, come off picks, and play on the perimeter. Frye can't do that. Never will. He is a big.

Brown is trying to get Lee some minutes at the three. They have to match up with him also and he did a good job on Dunleavy. He can score from there but he can defend and give them an extra rebounder

Reminds me of all the talks of having a 6-10SF like KVH or Fugazy... well there are some mismatches and advantages in this, but Frye is not a SF. You don't switch position like to change socks, it'd take a lot of adjustment of a player who's spent all his career playing C or PF.

He's our best 4 and needs to develop his game at that position.

Right now it should be
PG: Marbury
SG: Pick your poison
SF: Ariza
PF: Frye
C: Curry

I'm down with that, and I would probably go with Q at the 2 if he's healthy. That way Craw can keep learing the 1.

Frye at the 3, Lee at the 3...

I don't know, if you asked anyone if any of Vinnie Johnson, Dumars or Isiah could play SF, everyone would say no, yet they did quite well with stretches of a three guard alignment.

Point being, sometimes you just put out a lineup that clicks and let matchups be damned. Personally I'd love to see what JC, Ariza, Lee, Frye and Curry could do together. Can even swap in a little bit of Steph, Nate and Q (when healthy) too.

Just find the units that click and let our squad be the one to dictate the games and create the matchup problems for opponents.

ya are funny, atleast the humour will pass the time until 7:00pm tonight

Fyre shoudl not be considered at the 3, no
we have Trevor Ariza/Quentin Richardson/Penny Hardaway and David Lee whom can man that position
Fyre should stay at F/C

VJ was the SF, right? You made it sound like each of those three played minutes at SF. I can't remember the rotations the Pistons had back them. (I'm just asking for clarification.)

Yeah that pretty much ends this conversation.

I don't even understand why people want David Lee to play the small foward. The guy is a banger and his game is playing around the basket looking for offensive rebounds. He's pretty much a more athletic version of Charles Oakley. No way should he be considered a small foward.

I can't wait for a freaking trade....I am sick and tired of all those crazy suggestions that you guys are talking about. Frye as PG, SG, SF???? lol.....Frye for president....

Larry needs to stop F..king around and start Frye at PF with Davis as the backup Center and PF. He also needs to repalce Barnes from the starting lineup and play Reezy instead. At SG, we need to continue to play Q and bring Crawfford in to give him a breather.
