heck I wouldn't wait till mid season to make a change...
look at the RPG for Ariza & Frye and Ariza is ranked 9 in steals in the NBA so far off the bench...
Larry Brown stressed rebounding as the number one priority...
I know it's too early to judge but so far they have been consistent and deserve it.
It's worth a try were 0-3 something needs to be done... I also don't like Antonio Davis getting 31.7 minutes a game...

absolutely, it makes the most sense...davis is getting monster boards, but he can spell curry or frye effectively.3 guard rotation of Q/Craw/marbs is what we dreamed of when we traded for craw last summer.

It makes a ton of sense because it might be that perfect mixture of youth and vets. Imagine players on the other team going to double Curry only for Frye to be open for the jumper. Plus, with Ariza at the 3 you have some defense and rebounding to balance nicely with the offensive power that a frontcourt of Frye and Curry would bring.

Yep, he would have two very skilled bigmen to dump the ball to on the offensive end. This idea isn't anything new but it is certainly something we should explore because I really think it would allow our starting lineup to do much better while still having some nice pieces to come off the bench (like Richardson/Crawford, Nate Robinson, David Lee) and most importantly it allows you to play the vets where they should be played, off the bench. Bringing guys like Taylor (who has played well so far), Jerome James, Rose, and Davis off the bench is tolerable because they are suited for that role. However, they are not players that should be getting crucial minutes on this team right now.

lol @ last night's game ariza & frye all the way
ariza 13 pts 4 stl 6 boards 6 assists (33 min)
frye 19 pts 6 boards 1 blk 1 stl (18 min!!!)

but more important a WIN!
marbury played great though was surprised @ both ends of the court!

Ability to play in LB's system requires experience--rookies can't just jump in there and understand all the sets and nuances of the NBA game.

our young guys had some pretty impressive defense, was fun to watch a team total of 15 steals and they never let the kings take the lead!

I have no problem with Ariza getting 34 min even if it's off the bench. If we want to put positive spin on Frye and Curry's playing time yesterday, maybe (hopefully) Larry was trying to teach them that they're going to have to stay out of foul trouble/use their PFs more intelligently in order to earn more minutes. If he was trying to teach them that lesson, then I could accept the PT.

I prefer Ariza and Frye to start, but right now I'm more concerned with who ends the game.
Actually I don't care about Antonio Davis starting and going to the bench within 6 minutes.

Larry Brown has been coaching, and successfully, for more than most people have been alive. I think he understand the difference between a young player hustling off the bench to prove themselves, and a young player being but into a starting position and having those pressures against them that come with that.

They are learning and will eventually start. Look where Tayshun Prince is and he barely played his first year. I think players like David Lee and Channing Frye are cut from the same mold. Not defensivley but mentally. Give them time.

Frye has to start, and I think Ariza should, too. Marbs feeding Thomas/Nazr/Thomas created a lot of assists. Now replace a Thomas and a Nazr with a Frye and a Curry. Ariza creates when he's out there, and even if he's not able to score like either Thomas quite yet, he too would add assists, steals, boards and points. I think with either Craw or Q at the 2 we're in really good shape.
