i agree with you to a certain extent...but this is just one game, theres 81 left this year...ppl are overeacting quite a bit too early

Yep. It's embarrassing. I was a big defender of JJ in the offseason...I was dead wrong. Bring in Lee and Frye for Christ's sake.

I wouldn't panic over one poor game. Curry actually was in there competing, 19-8-2 and with all those missed FT's he would have had a monster game. You have to look at the real reason we lost and that was TO's and missed FT's.

A lot off those rebounds they got came off long bounces from the bricks the Celtics were shooting.

the Celtics shot 42% - 31.3%-74.5%
the Knicks shot 45.2%-60%- 54.5% its that last one that lost the game. The thing is that you know we'll shoot better than that. So I'm actually more optimistic.

We have to make free throws or else it will be a long season.

The celts did shoot a lot of bricks and got their own boards, that was upsetting, long rebounds..

This isn't a soft team, Briggs. Far from it. This is just not a fundamentally strong team. In fact, I think they forced overtime on guts alone, because you tell me the Knicks will turn the ball over so much, miss so many free throws and have so much trouble rebounding and I will only expect another blowout like last season. They were in there because they fought back, but they couldn't win the game because they don't know yet how to use their talents efficiently in a tight basketball game. They will learn that with Brown, but it will take time.

But this team is far from soft. They just need to learn how to play the game efficiently...

What do you expect when you play for Brown? They are learning so much and at the same time have the pressure of winning now. It will take some time, but they will learn it. Its not just about making your free-throws. Its also about boxing out, not turning the ball over so much, staying active all the time on defense...

its not that we cant win with talent, its that we look somewhat soft. the celtics dont exactly have a bruising team, and they were beating us up.
delonte west was the best guard on the floor, he plays SMART basketball, what a talent for the PG position. GOOD defense, gave everyone fits

Stephon had his way with him, AND Delonte only started doing his thing exactly when Craw came into the game, I watched it again this morning. The very first possession after Steph sat and Craw checked in, Delonte West drove to the lane very easily for a layup.

Delonte West was solid, but our guys were messing up on switches and defensive assignments, which left left alot of guys open and made his job much easier. But lets not get crazy.
