Would you have offered Q and one young player (maybe Nate)? They might have had more interest in Q and Lee, which would have been a tougher decision. Magloire is no superstar but he is a solid big man

No, our frontcourt of the future is set right now and I would want to see what this current group can do before breaking it up (meaning we really shouldn't make any major trades right now). Not to mention, Eddy Curry will eat Magloire up (literally and figuratively).

No, we have enough Cs and PFs. ANd I would'nt have made Nate for Magloire straight up because Nate has a great chance to be special for a long time. No need for Magloire...

I think Magloire might have been "plan B". I mean damn......they only got Desmond Mason and a 1st rounder? Isiah's deal of Sweetney, Timmy and Jackson with the 1st round pick is better than that. I really believe that Mags might have been plan B.

No. Curry and Frye are better than Bogut and Magloire.

Nice match-up right there. Can't wait till they play for real.

unless you were sending jj to new orleans for magliore, we've got enough centers- of course, watch both curry & jj go down for stretches of the season hurt.

i would have dealt Q and James for Magliore and Lynch.

1) Magliore plays defense is is SO Much better than James.
2) Keep Curry effective in limited minutes where he can focus mainly on Offense.
3) Magliore is ALWAYS tradeable.
4) You can play Magliore and Curry together like San Antone did with Twin Towers.
5) Trading Q opens up time at the SG and SF spot for Ariza and Barnes and Nate Rob. Lee can also play some SF.

I wouldn't trade Q unless we were getting an outside threat back. Q, even at 38%, is perhaps one of our better outside threats.

Magliore is better than JJ. Bogut maybe better or worst than Frye only time will tell. Just because you are a dominate Big in college means that it will translate to NBA ball. There is a reason why many people who NCAA ball hate NBA ball. Different game for big men. I think the Bucks are better for the trade but that depends on Simmons, need to see more after the contract year. Ford has to show me that he can play for a season with full hard contact.
I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni

Can we officially stop saying we would trade Q...PLEASE!?!?!?

Seriously, Q is our best outside threat at the moment and we have Reezy and other defensive specialists...why would you trade Q for Bynch...err, I mean Lynch?

One day Caseloads, you have to say to yourself...I like these knicks.

no doubt

plus Maglorie really hasn't done much to warrant him that bad, i would take Chris Anderson over him, word da Bird Man.

at one point last year i considered it would be a good idea to pair Nazr and Maglorie, it didn't come true, and mayeb it was for the best. he is a solid player i will say, but a bit like Mark Blount

definitely BIrd Man instead...we already have a solid front line and IMHO they are all better than Magloire.

i love the knicks. i just would love to see a big front court. we all know JJ has a lot of Gazyness to him and we know Eddy curry can go down at any given moment. Jamaal Maggy would have been nice to have at center. At the very least, we could have had twin towers and pulled a San Antone and started maggie at Center at Curry at PF.

We have Jamal Craw and Stef interchanging at the SG/PG spot, and Ariza and Barnes holding down the SF spot. Q is a SG, which is still overloaded. Q is not a SF, despite his ability to play there.

Jerome James Better than Maggie? Only if James is playing duncan and F's him up like last playoffs. When the Knicks are in the finals this year versus San Antone, That's where the Isiah Thomas genius of signing Jerome James is gonna show itself. F' em up bigman! No layups!

We got more than enough bigs with Frye, Lee, JJ, Curry and AD and that's not even including the soon to be gone Malik rose and the underachieving Mo T. I like the front line and I really dont dig Magloire's game

i liked magloire two years ago and if we did not get curry, i think thomas would have traded to get him. but with curry and frye developing into a legit frontcourt, i don't want magloire here clogging the middle. true, he could be an all-star in the east like his last full season but that is the point. he has been injury-prone throughout his career. he plays decent defense and rebounds well but the potential for our bigs are much higher than what magloire can provide.
