I know that we wanted someone to replace Houston, but we could have waited a little longer to see who would have been availble. I have called for Larry Hughes instead of Crawfford before this trade went down, and I still believe that it would have been a much better choice. If we had Hughes on our roster right now, we would not have the defensive issues that we've endured last season nor this season. Hughes is a much better ball handler than Crawff and is also much smarter of a player. Now that we have Crawfford on our roster, we are confused to how to best use him. He is not a PG nor that he is a SG. Most are hoping that he develops into something that this kid may never be. Yes, he is talented, but he is a street talent instead of a true NBA talent. He can't defend his position, because his weight is to light, and he can't defend the PG position because he is not quick enough. The best solution is to trade this guy. I know that I will get a lot grief for saying what I have said, but I don't care.

We have Q and Ariza that can play the 2, therefore we can afford to be without Crawfford and Rose. I hope that Zeke and Brown realize that they are waisting valuable time and money by having Crawff on our roster. Crawf, Penny and Rose or Mo are expendable.

Wasn't the plan for him to be Houston's sub and to run 3 guards at times. I recall Isiah talk about him being used the way Detroit used Vinnie Johnson back in the day.

I am willing to be patient with him, but the fact that his presence on the roster is causing so much problem, is driving me crazy. Q was brought in to be our starting SG...but because of Crawff, Larry is reconsidering whether or not Q is more suited to be a 3 or a 2. For god's sake, Q should be the starting SG. He is stronger than Jamal, and plays much better defense than him also. With him on the court, Marb will a much better distributor. Marb to Q, Q can then dump the ball to our big men; if the shot is there, they can take it, if not, they can kick it back out to either Marb or Q for a good percentage shot. Q will not waist his time dribling the ball like Crawff would

jeez diderotn calm down the only reason crawford is starting is becuase q is injured. try to remember that crawford is just a combo guard in the nba not an evil dictator plotting to kill you and your family.

Yeah, please give us Mutombo, Williams, Harrington, and Trybanski back!

The trades are unrelated. The scrubs we gave up for Crawford would have never gotten us Larry Hughes. Why not just call for Lebron James instead of Crawford?

the quality of insight on this site has really gone downhill.

that's why i rarely come here now.

Ya....Crawford is really awful isn't he. Horrible game he had last night.

But on the contrary, those 6 turnovers for Steph were a FLUKE.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

It obviously WAS a fluke. He has one of the best assist/turnover ratios in the game.

The system's chaning Bon-bon.

There's no more isolation for Steph and endless pick & rolls.

He's out of his comfort zone.

It's showing...

Crawford, other than missing that last shot had a great game last night. 11pts, 4ast, 8reb, and only one turnover. almost everyone else who played had three or four TOs, but Jamal ran the point for about half the game and only had one. He ran the team perfectly, played great D and even helped on the boards.

Jamal has a chance to be the exact kind of PG Larry wants. I think he can do it, and most importantly, he seems willing.

Jesus. Wow. It's a miracle. 1 other person on "Ultimate" Knicks realizes that Crawford is finding his niche.

It's really sad too, b/c there are so many Marbury supporters on this site that they'll completely forget about the KNICKS and actually Boo other players.

What kind of fan does that?

And for your information, I don't boo Marbury. When he plays well, I'm happy. I'm thinking of the TEAM here. This has nothing to do with any hate for a particular player.

I'm a Knicks fan. Not a Marbury hater...

but should ur PG be shooting airball bombs in the 4th quarter when there are better options out there? I'll have to watch lastnights game again or see if Crawford keeps doing what you said he did. The 4th quarter I saw was the same old crawford hoisting bad shots thinking he is Reggie Miller minus the working hard without the ball part

I missed the 3rd quarter but I've seen Crawford enough to know not too put too much stock in what he does during 1 preseason game especially a game where I saw him hoist up typical crawford off-balance shots instead of doing something a little more productive with the ball late in the 4th

bobs! dude! how they hangin?

you really ready to make any conclusions at all based on preseason games? you don't think there's a lot of experimentation going on, by larry and by individual players? you don't think vet players are playing themselves into game condition and doing different things to learn their new teammates' games? look at all the new guys steph is running with - you don't want him to experiment in the preseason to learn their games and learn how to make the most of them as their pg?
