Yes: he did it on purpose and you didn't get it.

NO scored 33 in the 4th--how many of Lampe's points came during garbage time?

its just a matter of time with lampe. he isnt the best athlete but at 7 feet you dont need to be. we all know he has a beautiful stroke, he loves basketball and he mean and tough--you take that and mix it in a bowl and you will get a fine, fine basketball player. Maciej Lampe is still younger than any knick by the way

Theres a reason that there was so much talk about Lampe in the 2003 draft because the kid has a skill. I remember I was ecstatic that he fell all the way down to the Knicks because of "contract" problems. The one thing I do remember is that Isiah felt he wasnt a gymrat and that he wasnt trying hard enough to be the player he could be, which we all saw flashes of in summer league and in preseason. Maybe Byron Scott lit the fire under him that needed to be lit or maybe this is just a flue?

I never liked the Marbury trade. We gave up young guys and picks just to keep on losing. I would be more excited about this team if we had Lampe and our 2004 1st rounder (that would of been top 10 pick).

I'm very glad to see Lampe playing well. I think the Knicks made a mistake including him in the Marbury trade and Phoenix made a REALLY bad blunder giving him away at his lowest value. I think Lampe will make a name for himself on New Orleans. He's going to be a good player in this league, at least as good as Mike Sweetney (who I think will be a 16/9 player within two years).
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

The player I want back is Marcus.

Camby? Oh yes. Not to reminisce, but okay... Take a different route, compile in Isiah's good moves and some luck and we could've had a lineup of:

C-Eddy Curry
C/PF-Marcus Camby
C/PF-Maciej Lampe
PF-Amare Stoudamire
SF/SG-Quentin Richardson
SF-Trevor Ariza
SG-Gerald Green
SG/PG-Jamal Crawford
PG-Nate Robison
etc...

But, look, I'm not complaining over what we have. Right now I'm happy with the direction of the team. We're not stacked with studs, but very few teams are.

No I agree. He must have been enough of a head case to have 2 teams dump him. He was a throw in for Marbury and Pho let him walk for doodoo (wonder if they regret that now with no Amare for 4 months)

I always like Lampe and when he won MVP of that summer league or all-whatever I was pretty pumped about his future. I think if he works hard (its obviously been a problem in the past so who knows) he could be a Brad Miller type which is pretty high praise.

I don't know about the future, but he was never known for being tough, and the few times I saw him in Spain he looked much like Doleac.

People forget that this guy is 20-21 yrs old. He didn't play a lot or at a high level of comp. in Europe, so he was gonna be at least 3-4 years away. But even so if you look at his logs from last year, he was reasonably productive when given the minutes. He still may not be good this year, but he could definitely turn into a player. 7 footers with strong frames and shooting ability don't grow on trees.
