After reviewing the stats and highlights from the last three games which one of these young guys do you think is ready to start? Personally I would go with Frye because I see him becoming a beast out of the three and I like Lee's energy off the bench. Butler is looking pretty good too, but, I feel he's a little too green too handle that type of pressure right now. So as of right now I would give the nod to Frye but those other two continue to impress. What do you guys think?

Frye has shown that he may be the answer at the 4 spot. Those early comparisons to Sheed's offensive game are right on. Briggs is right, this guy can score about every trip up the floor if he really wanted too. I would say I would go with Butler at the 5 spot if Curry couldn't go some nites. He loves contact, rebounds, boxes out, and has a decent set of moves. A younger, taller version of Sweetney I think. Lee would be my energy bench guy and only playing at the 4 spot.

I was joking because that wasn't the question. i know all about Antonio Davis making his way up here after some convincing from Zeke and LB, but I don't care about where he plays in the rotation because he didn't want to be here anyway

I think I'd go with Lee actually. He's a glue guy that can help smooth over a variety of things for the starting unit. Frye's scoring would be more valuable off the bench than on the starting unit, assuming we have most of our scorers starting (Curry, Q, JC, Marbs).

Davis, let the rookies adjust to physicality of the game first before we give them heavy minutes. But if I'm playing NBA2K6 I would play Lee.

Well, he's here now and he's apart of the Knicks roster and he's going to be for atleast this year so we can't PRETEND that he's not on the roster. With Antonio here, I think he is the person that MOST deserves to start at the 4 but I think I'd rather see Frye there and see how he does since he is the future of this team and has played very well in the preseason, showing off the offensive game that he displayed during Tourney-Time with Arizona last year. What we get with Antonio is defense and rebounding and even said himself that he knows he's replacing Kurt Thomas who was the dirty, defensive rebounding player for this team for 4 years so he knows what he's getting into. That's the only reason I'd start Antonio because no one else on this team has that same mindset on defenese yet and the Knicks and Larry Brown are here to win games.

Alright personal feelings aside. I watched the Bulls a few times last year and I'm feeling Antonio because he's a banger. Actually I started this thread because I wanted to get a feel on what everyone thought about the young gunz, but realsitcaly I see Davis starting because he's a legit Larry Brown type player. Larry basically made him who he is so I can't really imagine him not starting.

Yeah, I think Antonio (If he's all aboard the NYK train now, and not in 'family-upheaval' mode)...

Then Lee at the all-star break?

Antonio to start for the whole season. Don't need to use him much... up to 20 minutes a game. Then rotate in James/Frye/Lee/Rose at the 5/4.

I saw Antonio at the Garden last year - he came off the bench and he played great. I'd start Frye because I think he's going to be an All-Star player and the sooner he gets minutes the sooner he's going to blossom.

I would rotate Curry, JJ, Butler and Frye at the 5. I'd rotate Frye, Antonio, Lee, Curry, Malik and Mo at the 4. I'd switch uk a lot. I'd go huge sometimes with JJ and Curry or Butler and Curry. At times I might even put Lee or Frye at the 3 too to mess with some teams' minds.

When it's time to go small and quick, Frye at 5 with Lee at 4 and Reeze or Q at 3 would be dynamite.

Isiah said he was drafting and trading for guys who played multiple positions. I really trust LB's judgment in deploying different lineups. The only exception was when he pulled his defensive lineup too quickly against Miami when they had pulled him back even!

I think Frye will be a SOLID starter too but I want AD to start to go against the other teams' starting PF to solidify the 1st quarter. Can't let Frye pick up the 2 quick fouls in the first few minutes.

Start a vetern and keep Frye and Lee together. Right now you have a very disjointed team you have the rookies and young kids buying into the system and the vets arent playing hard and arent playing with any passion. Put the rookies with a couple of vets that are playing hard and have them be the second unit

What the hell is a Knick anyway?

For that matter, what's the nuu-ba??? You guys are like from some alternate reality or something. Whoa. Far out.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
