He didn't use the Allan Houston Rule on Allan Houston, and now H20 is retiring.

He waived JYD, which is totally fine because David Lee is like a better, younger version of him.

He got us the best coach in the game.

He got us the best young center in the game.

He got us Frye, another very talented rookie, and Ariza last year.

And he got Q and Nate for KT!!

When we win 50+ games, Isiah will win Executive of the year for the way he has turned around our organization. He is doing a marvelous job, even once you factor in him overpaying for Big Game, and acquiring Mo Taylor.
The knicks are headed in a wonderful direction for years to come and they have many tradeable assets as well.

When we win 50+ games, LB will also win coach of the year.

No one thought the knicks could look how they are looking right now. they need to give him his props.

Isiah took his props, regardless of who wants to give them to him.

I'm with you 100% on the wins this year too, Killa. Good post.

If we get a trade exception from the Allan Houston retirement, yet another move may be on the horizon. Messiah thomas may not be done blessing us yet!

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

wrong Mo T and JJ will set us back for years and people will realize the burden of those contracts. ISiah gets a C-.. lets be realistic

just kidding... honestly though, this is what I expected, and this is why the JJ/Mo T trades pissed me off so much. When you have the kind of resources we have and advantage it gives us I expected to get guys like Curry, Q and Marbury. I dont think thats all that special.

HOWEVER its pretty clear that he's really used the draft well and thats the most important thing for this team IMO.

Nate, Ariza, Frye, Lee and even Butler look to be great additions that will really round out this roster and give us a pipeline

No Fish, being realistic is waiting until the season starts insteaed of believing in anyone's crystal ball. No one knows how these players will do in LB's system, or even if one or both may be dealt for someone better.

Isiah flipped thsi whole roster in les than 2 years, when alot of people (especially on this board) thought it would be impossible. The man takes his props!

I have said it once and I'll say it again:
I cannot get excited over 6 mil per for a 7-0 guy. I just can't we needed a starting center and he was the best available option, its not like this put us over the cap, or will keep us.

Mo T, I used to like him as a player, I saw the potential, but at 9 mill....hell for free he just sux. This was by far his worst move. However when you compare to other GM's (good GM's) worst moves it really isn't that bad.

Look at
Rod Thorn
Sun's GM (his name escapes me)

Zeke has done a great job because he started with almost nothing.

Exactly; if the Mo T or JJ deals are Isiah's worst, then that's simply an outstanding compliment to Isiah.

Jerome James contract isn't that bad compared to Foyle, Dampier and Dalembert. He's about as good as those guys and 30 mil less.

No GM is perfect. It looks like Jerry West has just been treading water in Memphis lately. Donnie Walsh gave Austin Croshere his albatross of a contract. etc etc. A GM should be judged by the balance of all his moves, not by his worst moves. Isiah has done an unbelievably good job given the absolute garbage roster he started off with.

You will post this 8 more times before a magic 8 ball falls from a ledge 8 stories high and breaks your keyboard.

By midseason, we will revisit that magic #8 statement again....I will be more than happy to mention it over and over again for you all. Just in case you didn't know, I am a hell of a confident young man when it comes to my predictions...

thats fair. I thought Isiah had more to work with then you give him credit for. Being able to take on over $250mm in future salary is a lot to work with.

Ki.. I loved Mo T also with the Clips. I was suprised he was such a dud after he signed with Houston. but he sucks and is fat now. Know who else was good? Spoon. The guy was like a 17/10 guy and NASTY. They thought he might actually be the next Barkley. Now he's fat and out of the league.

Its good. I'm just happy this team is watchable again, that we are young and have a coach that can teach. Its come full circle for us. The key now is patience. Patience for LB, for us and most of all for Isiah. Dont get itchy and pull the trigger for something cooky

This has got to be one of the funniest, most ridiculous statements I have ever heard. Who the F**K was on this team worth any value when IT took over. Typical of "what have you done for me lately" He turned over an entire team in 1 year, that was already over the salary cap in a league where trades are so difficult. He built an exciting young team that is watchable and hes still not done.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Isiah had nothing to work with except money, which alone is useless. Money combined with a great mind can go a long way though.
