all of his career highs--remember he would be a 1st year player if he stayed in school 4 years like Frye

pts 31
reb 15
asi 5
steals 2
blocks 6

if we look at his last year, he averaged 16.1 pt 5.4 reb 1 block FG% 54

if you add in an extra 7.3 min to a reasonable 36 for the game--and this has held form --the same exact production per minute his last 3 years

you are looking at 36 min projection from his first 3 years numbers combined 20.5 7.1 1.45 and a 3 year FG % of 54% thats all star numbers from the 5 and hes only 22 unlike sweetney curry has played longer minutes and has a strong case for production per minute because it never varied in his last 3 years. So IF he is healthy and I admit that a big point--meaning he can play 36 minutes--if we consider that a 22 year old will improve--the deal is a no-brainer

yeah, I'm leaning towards giving up Lee, Sweets and Tim. Lee wouldn't get much burn with Curry and Frye here anyway. I'd still be worried about the lack of rebounding on the frontline, but hopefully Ariza could start and grab about 8rpg.

this is like playing russian roulette with 3 to 6 bullets in the chamber- spin twice, win a million.

I'd really rather not. I personally like our chances of getting a stud big man either at the deadline (brand or similar) or in the draft this year or next year.

No More Instant Fixes. That's how we ended up with our crap roster of Eisley, Fatspoon and Shandon.

I mean- if we're about to offer up TT & Sweetney for Curry- don't you think the Clippers might jump on for something similar for Brand? Sweetney, Ariza & TT for Brand & matching salaries?

brand will NEVER EVER be available. there is nothing similar to Brand out there. Zach Randolph MIGHT be available, but that's a dude with just as many questions as Curry and not nearly the size.

I don't think Curry is an instant fix. though some fans probably see him as the Messiah, he's just another good piece.

Like who? Who is better at the center position than curry? and what team would be giving him up?

I'd take brand because he is healthy- I honestly didn't think Baron Davis would get traded last year for essentially nothing. And there are plenty of propsects for the c position that will be coming into the league in the next 2-3 years. You never know who might be available- but in my opinion, it is just too risky to trade anything more than Mo Taylor for Curry.

EXACTLY! There is no one out there...not now and not in 3 years. Guys like that are locked up forever just like Curry will be either with Chicago or NY or somebody.

that might very well be the case- but the fact is they are still owned by Stirling and I think any reasonable person here would agree he is by any definition, Cheap.

Don't the clippers need a point guard?

Sweetney, TT & Nate or Crawford for Brand- not saying I would do that, but the clips get younger & cheaper & possibly better.

Sterling is a cheap mizer but there is a salary cap MINIMUM...and he can stay above that with a collection of scrubs and Brand/Magette/Mobley for the next 4 years. Brand ain't going anywhere unless he demands a trade...but he has no leverage cuz he's locked up for the next 4 years. Plust they have Livingston and Cassell...

The health is the only issue. If he had no heart problems, I'd give up anyone other than Marbury for him.

well, i have no clue, but when you are committing 70+mm$ to a player, that must mean you like him a WHOLE lot--if I knew that curry was healthy, i wouldve give him the money and the players--but we have no access to that information--but getting back to your original question--do i think we will get curry---I am putting the odds of him being a knick at +75% and if david lee is a deal breaker, id be rather shocked. david le was not a star player in college, and while he could be a good nba player--he lacks star quality---curry has star quality and you win with stars

When you look at the minutes per game that it just proves how dominant he can be. This is when he still hasn't realized his potential. It's scary.....that's why I guess Isiah is trying to get him.

Bonn1997: The health is the only issue.

Basically........Monty Williams is a happy though....Hank Gathers and Reggie Lewis He was cleared to play all we can do is pray for the dude on a personal level and get on his case if he ever wears the orange and blue.

I mean damn when he played the Knicks this year and even in years past.......the Knicks couldn't do anything with him. He can be an unstoppable force. With Larry Brown and Isiah and Agguire and whoever in his ear......this is the place for him.

Imagine having Frye, Curry and Jerome James? Not even in games.....think about practice. The Knicks could be locked and loaded.

with curry frye and james, we have some guys who can surely put the ball in the hole, but we are going to need a ferocious rebounder in next years draft--perhaps paul millsap, i cant think of a better rebounder in college basketball.

Briggs this deal is not going down with the Knicks. The league offices are closed. Unless they get another extension its safe to assume Curry remains a Bull for this coming year anyway.
