Bulls And Curry Increasingly Likely To Part Ways
28th September, 2005 - 9:31 am
Chicago Tribune - The extraordinary events surrounding the Bulls' contract negotiations with center Eddy Curry are fast-breaking to what figures to be an ugly standoff within the next week, one that now seems almost certain to end the Bulls' career of the Thornwood High product.

It's a scenario perhaps unprecedented in the NBA: an arbitration ruling in favor of Curry may be the only way he will play again for the Bulls and even then it would be just for this season and at the discretion of a team Curry says he doesn't care to play for anymore. A peaceful resolution, considering recent comments from both sides, seems unlikely. Instead, here are the most likely scenarios: Curry is traded in the next week, he is barred from playing this season or he is sitting restively on the Bulls' bench. [READ]

Hey man, you should offer to curry to dress him up as a zombie in his uni and pretend to be playing like he died. Freak Pax out and he gets released! Zombie "dead man Walking" Curry!

Nalod,
Look at Curry and his upbringing! Fried food all the time. I've read the type of **** he's eaten, and it's a buildup of clogged arteries. Just because you're acenter in the NBA and are big, doesn't mean you cannot have a heart attack. Put Othella Harrington on Sweets in a game for 48 minutes every night and they'll be hospitalized. Curry is in great shape but his eating habits constitute the problems he has now, which are heart problems.

Dude,

His problem is not his diet. Maybe Casegoods can do better. Im just an investment guru, but don't stay in Holiday Inn Express, So I can't explain his condition.

I would say he needs a full time chef to help him.

I went to Tony Roma's rib joint the other day and had a big rack of baby back's. It was good and tasty, but your sheet was getting in my head. I read some stuff last year about eating dead things, particularly the THEORY that too much fats simulates the body to begin decomposing, which is cancer. I did south beach last year and believe very much in most of it.

Recently I had on freakin donut and I can't believe the heartburn I had from one teeny tiny krespy Kreeme.

Any way, Im down with most of it, but believe moderation is the key to most of it.

Amen. I am a healthy male in my 30's, was athletic and played sports all my life, after being married for some time I put on weight, over the past few years developed acid reflux, and other pains and fatigue. Had test run, endoscopy's, physical's the whole works. Couldn't find much of anything, except that I may be over weight. Lost 20 pounds, no more heartburn, or acid reflux, felt better, no more aches and pains.. Well over the past few months, put the weight back on and along came the same problems..

You are darn skippy proper eating has a lot to do with one's health....

Do we really need Curry? I just read today that Zeke had offered a package of Tim Thomas and Sweet to the Bulls. I personally don't believe that Curry is worth all of that.

You just summarized my weight and health issues. I fluctuate in weight from 210 to 240. I feel like a young buck when I am 215 or under.

Get rid of the soda and eat fast food once in awhile. Eat a lot of salad. Drink a lot of water. Works for me.

CURRY NOT ON KNICK MENU
By MARC BERMAN

Bulls free-agent center Eddy Curry will slip through Isiah Thomas' mitts again. The Post has learned the Knicks offered Chicago a sign-and-trade package of Tim Thomas and Michael Sweetney for the ailing big center, but has been rejected repeatedly by GM John Paxson.

Barring a trade, Curry, suffering from heart irregularities, is expected to sign the Bulls' one-year, $5 million qualifying offer before Saturday's deadline, according to his Jersey-based attorney, Ed Milstein.

Curry has been commiserating on the phone almost daily with his best friend, Knick guard, Jamal Crawford, who's worked behind the scenes to get him to New York.

"They're not trading him," one team executive said.

After Curry signs, the Bulls and Curry will head to arbitration where it will be decided whether the 7-foot phenom has to undergo a DNA test, Milstein said. The Bulls want Curry to have the DNA test (to see if he is genetically disposed to a potentially fatal condition), but Curry has refused. If Curry passes the test, Chicago would be willing to offer Curry a long-term pact, guaranteeing him between $20 and $30 million.

The Knicks offered the Bulls a package that would start Curry at more than $13M and give Chicago cap relief after season. Tim Thomas' contract ($13.5M) and Sweetney's ($2.1M) expire after the season. Isiah has offered Thomas in multiple deals because of his tradable contract and the Knick glut at swingman.

Charleston boot camp doesn't begin until Tuesday morning, but all Knicks have already reported and are working out at Westchester campus, as encouraged by Larry Brown.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

irregular bowel cleansing or detoxing is also very bad. One should use the toilet twice a day or at least once a day. If that is not the case, consult a doctor immediately.

If Berman thinks the Knicks won't get him, you can rest assured that Curry will soon be a Knick.

LOL

DaMano: I would stop at just TT as well but Chicago might get better offers than just 'save cap space'.

I think Paxson hates Isiah, and refuses to do business with him again... sweetney and t.t (15 Mil in cap savings) for a man with a questionable heart (both ways). is plenty!. I would love to see what other teams are offering the bulls...
