A soccer club in he UK has commissioned a statue to be built and stood outside their new stadium. The fans were asked to vote for their favourite moment in the clubs history to immortalize forever. They chose this one.

The man on the left is Vinnie Jones, now an actor.

If you had a choice, what moment would you immortalize outside the new MSG?

A few choices, if you will.

JVG clinging onto Mourning while he's trying to kill Oak.

Childs lands the right on prissy boy Bryant.

Willis Reed walks out in game 7.

John Starks teaches Michael how to fly.

(and in case you missed that one...)

Post some pictures that you guys think should make it.

if they were to have one- sorry, it has to be willis reed.

sure, starks dunk on mj & co is great, but if you're going to immortalize something and have it stand as a symbol of your team, pick something from the championship past.

LJ's 4pter might be one to throw in the mix, as might allan's runner against miami.

Funny Franco, I spend a lot of time on the web looking for a pic of Houstons runner, or LJ's 4. Nothing. I'd love to see one if you have.

First of all that first picture is hilarious, how the hell did they actually vote for that? hahahaha.....and I would also have to go with Willis Reed, what he did is what New York is all about and what the Knicks should be all about, toughness and grit
I wasn't born with enough middle fingers!!!

Hmmm.... a statue?

1. W.Reed walking out of the tunnel.
2. The Starks dunk.
3. Something commemorating Patrick... maybe like this:

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

That's a good one too. That brings back memories like the 4-point play in the '99 ECF.

Either that picture will Ewing, the Willis walk or the Houston shot.

One of my favorite moments has to do with Childs and LJ.

LJ had the "L" thing going on....but he also had this other spaze out thing where he would hug himself over and over like he was a retarded Superman boasting over a big play......anybody remember that?

Well LJ must have been hurt or suspended(more likely hurt).....and Childs caught fire down the stretch of a game causing an opponents time out. Childs runs center court and mimics LJ's little retard hug thing. It was awesome! Just one of those moments that showed team unity and the passion those guys had for the game.

I really miss Childs.

Immortal moment is one that evokes the memoroy of ultimate greatness or conquest of the human spirit to acomplish the impossible.

Patrick Never did either.

The greatness of the early 70's team was the TEAM. No single player can capture that image. Reed only played a few minutes in game 7! The rest belong to clyde, who orchestrated the sum greater than the individual.

A stature of the team perhaps, but no single image.

You talking Jordan, Wilt, Jabbar, Unitas, The Babe, Gretzky. you taking the greatest of great. We don't have such a player. One that defined an era. A guy so dominant that anyone else was a distant second.

I don't even consider Weiss a Knick. He never played a regular season or pre-season game for the Knicks. He is a *****.
