I don't know if you all had a chance to catch that game, but I did. Marb looked a little heavier than normal. He appeared very muscular and I hope that doesn't hamper his game. As for Mo T., he looked like he lost some weight. I don't know if he is ready to still the starting position from whoever is the starter, but if he comes in ready to ball, Larry will not hesitate to put him in the starting rotation.

Larry told you that too? He musta called me after he spoke to you!

Marbs lifts pretty much in the off season and does not shoot much. This was his reason why he was so cold in the olympics until he had the break out game.

Maybe his uni was overly baggy and made him look shorter. He is a true pro whom takes good care of his body.

Marbs doesn't do heavy cardio till a few weeks before training camp. He does weights mostly during the summer and works on little things during the off season whenever he plays.

Marbs is always in great shape so I'm not worried about him either. He will look like Stallone did in Rocky IV when he fought that Drago!

Mo did look lighter at the game. His head was looking like Jabba the Hut for a while. Maybe dude is ready to turn his career around. He is an above average scorer even when he was fat. I hope he suprises us.....Lord knows we need someone who can draw double teams down low and score from the 4 spot.

People forget but he was showing signs of being dominant just before he tore his ACL when he was with Steve Francis in Houston. Jeff Van Gundy put him in the dog house. Hopefully Brown gives him a chance to flourish.

Damn Spree, in that picture of Mo Taylor right there he looks extremely thin. Dido, did Mo look like that during the charity game?

What a groupie. Figuratively speaking, of course.

I think Mo's best days are way behind him.

Not exactly a LB type player either, if you believe in such things.

I'd be surprised if he lasted the season.

I'm sick of hearing "Not a Larry Brown type player." How do we know? What if Mo is indeed in great shape and tears up training camp? What if Ariza proves that he's no more than Shandon Anderson at best? And we sure as in hell don't know how he'll react to the rookies, Sweetney, Crawford and yes, Stephon Marbury. There's just no way of telling at this point, and there is probably no way of telling until we're maybe 20 games in the season and we start seeing the set patterns. I'm pretty sure LB wouldn't play TT just for the sake of increasing his trade value. So if TT is playing, it's b/c he's playing well (And b/c he wants a contract of course which I shalln't fall for.) I don't think any of us know who LB will truely like and dislike. We all know he loves tough players on D, but we also know he loves smart players. We are about to see.

I guess you're right. I hesitated before using that cliche, and won't use it again.

There's not enough evidence to determine how the players will react.

But two things are certain:

1. Larry will change the practice/locker room/game environment,and

2. the players will be forced to adapt.

Some players, based on their track records

seem more willing to adapt than others.

I think you're right, TRU, that if players aren't willing to commit on both ends, and play smart, they wont play. If the guys don't like his style, they are sitting. And he certainly has benched Iverson before, he will do it to Marbury if he has to. They have to adjust to his ways, and abide. If not, see ya.

And you're right about the track records. Afterall, we are creatures of habit, but lets see what Mo T can do. I've lost faith in Tim Thomas. Lets see if Crawfish can stop jacking 3s. But Brown isn't going to look at the track records. He's going to be looking at the action placed right in front of his eyes. He doesn't need to judge players based on their history.

If Mo Taylor is in good shape and plays hard, he can be a very good player.

very true. if Mo is in shape and plays decent defense and rebounds, with Larry Brown utilizing his strengths he could be a key contributor off the bench and force Frye and Sweetney to the bench. Bottomline is we need a franshise calibur(championship calibur) bigman in the frontcourt.

So we all agree if Mo is in good shap, and plays hard, he can be a very good player!

This can be so simple somtimes.

Here is another good one: IF we score more than the other team, we win. Or, if we play good defense and don't allow the OTHER team (commonly known as the opponent, or opposing team)to have as many points as the the non opposing team (in this instince we are inferring about the New York (New Amsterdam) Knickerbockers )then they get to post a victory in the per say constest!

But I think they have to do it inside 48 minutes? yeah, im pretty sure!

The team with the most touchdowns wins! Yeah!

Sweetney's the only PF who could be better than Rose if they're both in top shape (still counting Frye as a C).

Knick management doesnt.. they said point blank he would be a 4 in the league. Maybe swing over to 5 like Jermaine Oneil does but primary he's a 4. Lee, Sweetney, Rose, Taylor, Frye. We have 5 PFs any of which may or may not be or become better than Mo T.
