DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

he said it in a joking manner but yet again, he has to stop doing interviews b/c he just keeps adding to his negative stigma everytime he opens his mouth.

either say the "politically correct" stuff or don't say jack.

His agent needs to hire him a publicist. Simple as that dude needs to think ahead of people and prepare himself to answer these tough questions.

Whatever happened to "whatever the coach wants me to do"?

Just shaddup Marbs.

lets put his sound bit thru an analyzer and see if there is enough stress in his voice to see if hes telling the truth.

You take the good with the bad from Steph. He's one of the most gifted scorers and passers in the game; he also says dumb things to the media. It doesn't help him that he plays in NY where the media attention is huge.

Huh?

How does one make it to the National Basketball Association playing point guard (the most mentally difficult position in the league might I add) AND peform on an allstar level and yet have the mind of a second grader? I don't get that.

Dude may put his foot in his mouth....some may question his decision making....but the mind of a 2nd grader? Nah.

I like Steph at point. But a point guard is only as good as his big man. Ask the ones who made it to the hall of fame. I find it incredible that dude has always been among league leaders in assists night in and night out and yet hasn't played with a quality big man here in New York. Image him with a dominating big here at the Garden. KG where are you???

I don't want Marbury to play SG ever. It's a non sense to me. Anyway, this only can happen in New York.

Oh guys cmon, he clearly reads the papers, and I was him I'd be pissed of too. All he hears is Marbury is not a real PG, marbury shoots too much, Marbury is a looser, etc. How is he not supposed to be bitter? The media chased Ewing out of the city.

There are many things to bash Marbury for, but this little quoate is not one of them.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I have been saying this since last season, for all of the money that Marb is making, he really needs to bring in someone to teach him some P.R. skills. The dude has all the time in the world to learn, it just kills me when I hear the sort of things that comes out of his mouth. For what it's worth, he needs to pay Gregg Anthony or Steven A. Smith some money to teach him about proper articulation.

I think I am in the minority about moving Steph to the SG AND having Craw as the starting point. First off, the shooting guard position is gonna be more prone to be killed on defense than when Allan was there. That's with Craw or Marbs there, b/c Marb never was a good defender in the first place, then put him where all the much taller guys are. Not good. Also, Craw is just too skinny to play SG on defense. He needs to be a PG. He has the skills and Larry can definitely help him out more. The guy is smart. I'd much rather we start Marbury and Q at the guard with Craw coming off the bench, or we trade Marb to even out the roster and use him to search for that young big we desperately need.

Brown is a hell of a coach and he wants to win games.....he will have the best lineup on the court to do just that. My favorite lineup is this:
Marb, Q, Ariza, Frye, and James
Marb, Q, TT, Sweet, and James

I would experiment with this lineup also
Nate, Marb, Q, Swee, James
Nate, Marb, Q, Frye, james.

it's a matter of attitude.
steph makes it so easy for people not to like him.
is it a big deal - probably not b/c he's at a point where he doesn't care.
but it just keeps cementing the fact that he's a "me-first" player.
i want the perception of him around the league to change - and winning will change that BUT he's not helping his cause.
i'm not distressed about it but let my oliver stone conspiracy theories run wild as the knicks, isiah, and the PR department allow him to dig his own grave in the media so it will be EASY to move him. it sounds crazy and farfetched but look at how it all is playing out. it's now STEPH's own fault if it doesn't work with LB. he would be the "uncoachable" player. LB even said "steph will not be the reason we win", "it would be a total team effort." cementing the fact that he's no longer the golden child.

it's just another little quote to put in the book. that's all.

and to add to the conspiracy theories - look at how the knicks show clips of the young kids (frye, lee, nate) all getting along. clips of nate and craw having fun surfaced. sweets and ariza last year. we see NONE of that from steph - NOT ONE TIME. we NEVER see him with his teammates joking around or anything like that. everytime we see steph - it's him defending himself to a reporter. if they really wanted to protect him, they would have b/c anybody can see he needs help in the PR department. if they showed him on the court having fun with his teammates on the bench, or just hanging out with craw or somebody off the court - and flooded inside stuff and the msg network with that stuff, his image would begin to change. but they don't.

Are you kidding me. Weaker at D at the 2 spot. Hey I understand Allan's your guy but come on, don't make him more myth than man. His defense was, is and will be absolutely horrible. I always said that Spree should demand a percentage of Allan's 100 million. The ironic part of it all, is that some of the guys he had the most trouble with are now his teammates. That is what scares me the most about Houston's possible comeback is that his defense could be possibly worst.
