shaq's shelf life is probably now down to 24 months.

WTF are they thinking?

Shaq doesn't look like he'll last that long but you gotta give him what he wants.

Amen. Miami may have taken on more than they bargained for.

Yeah, I hope this goes through so Miami can cut their own friggin' throats with that crazy deal. Watch Shaq get "injured" and skate thru 2 years of that contract just like punk-azz Allan Houston.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I bet the Knicks trade Allan Houston and Mo Taylor in 2 years for an extremely over-the-hill Shaq with $90 million left on his contract. LB will have just left town and people will be saying "Shaq will bring the Knicks their first championship in nearly 40 years!"

Shaq should have gone to Atlanta. They can afford him and if he could've taken them deep in the playoffs, that would be a true testament to his greatness.

I think he's being very smart to stick close to Dwyane Wade. That's a match made in heaven.

Well said. Also, I can (and will) hate on Shaq- this is a Knicks board! What revenue does he generate for THIS team?

The Lakers got Kwame, Bynum, Odom for Shaq. If Kwame and Bynum can ever live up to their potential, the Lakers may have the last laugh on Miami. If there is one thing I learn centers don't get more mobile past the age of 30, especially tubby ones with bad feet and bad backs. Miami is in win right now, we wish this season could start right now mode. Every second that ticks in a closing of that window.

they didn't really get bynum for shaq. they got grant, odom, and butler which became kwame - so they got kwame, grant, and odom for shaq. but i agree, if bynum and kwame live up to their potential then the lakers are an amazing team. two 7 footers with complementary games along with one of the best players in kobe and a tall, unselfish 3 in odom. if vujanic even becomes decent as a point guard they will be oversized at every position.

exactly..

If Joe Johnson can get 70 mil.

Michael Redd 80-90 mil

Kenyon martin 60+ mil

Dalembert 70 mil..

Then for sure 125 mil to shaq, even at this point in his career is a bargain considering those average as grits players( in comparison to shaq) are getting that much money..
