I know we helped the Rockets out of a hole, but Im hoping that atleast the move for Mo taylor finally opened everyone's eyes. It cost the NY Knicks 35 MILLION dollars this year and next in salary and taxes to acquire Taylor. If we sent an ening contract to Dallas for a guy who is on the way down, it would cost the franchise 40mm PER year EXTRA. I dont think so.

Man I second that. I loved Finley in his day but that day has passed. All good things come to an end.

the deal would be Penny for Finley since the salaries match up...knowing how Isiah's done business so far as our GM, you may very well see Mo T being offered up for Erick Dampier as well...that would add a nice chunk of change to our longterm payroll.

why not trade Allan to Dallas? Its one year shorter deal- which, if he could be released, saves them dough and prevents Finley from going to Phoenix and becoming Cubans worse nightmare.

I'd just as happily send them Penny or TT, but they'd have to ship something back, youth, picks, etc.

this can't even be in the nyk thought process. there's NO WAY this deal or even an inkling of a thought of this deal should ever come up.

You cant trade players and use the amnesty clause on them. I looked at it, I dont see any scenario where we would trade for Mike Finley.

WE DONT NEED A SG!! I would not understand a move that would bring Finely to NYC.

I was thinking for an extra year, it might not be a bad move - but then I looked at his contract - 3 more years at $56 Million!!! OMG. Wow. Let's hope there isn't any shred of truth to this.

I think the writer is just making it up. I don't see any reason for why we would consider something like this.

if we traded for Finely it would be in a deal that benefits US, not Dallas. Mo T and Malik for Finley and Howard. Otherwise buzz off

I actually just read that article and its retarded. This guy doesnt even know his own team. He says with Finely going one way or another that the 2/3 swings positions are the greatest need.
Last I checked they had Stackhouse, Howard and Daniels all signed next year. Add to it that Terry can play some 2 and KVH some 3. That team doesnt have any pressing needs, unless they can upgrade center or find a better playmaker than Terry to start at PG.

This guy is like Berman from Texas...

Ohh please thats just plain stupid. Is there a rule now that if you are going to put a trade possibility in an article you have to include the Knicks on it just because with Brown we may think on reshaping the Knicks? Please! So you tell me that because they are reconstructing the team they will trade one of their big expiring deals for another SG in the down side of his career and his BIG contract? Just a stupid article.

If one can think it, one can start a thread!

A dump is a dump. Mavs want trade to see what can be, and likely for public relations purpose.

He goes to suns, and suns beat up on mavs, afte losing Nash, Cube got a problem.

The honeymoon is over in dallas anyway. Cube is cool, but lets face it, wonderboy with his phat clubhouses and pimped out goodies for his players has yet to provide a team consistant with his effort, money, and hard work put in. It happens.

Cuban makes too many moves. I wonder if he'll ever realize that.

actually, according to the dallas morning news, the Knicks have a legit interst in finley.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Finley is actually a good shooter from outside and decent defender.

He is way over the hill.

what about Crawford & Mo T to Dallas for Finley & ?

These rumors were already discredited on Fox Sporting News. Cuban is trying to find an eastern conference team to trade Finley desperately to, he is so scared that Phoenix will just grab him up and it will come back to haunt him. The problem is that everyone in the league knows this, he can't find a single taker for Finley. So he has been hitting the airwaves down in Dallas coming up with all these possible trade scenarios in the eastern conference. I also heard that he indicated that Miami is interested which they flattly denied too.
