Assuming Allan comes to camp healthy and Larry is the coach, do you think Larry would want to keep him on the roster given his experience? If Larry wanted him back don't you think he would be back? I guess it depends on how Larry feels about our other guards.

Lol. Houston will never be healthy man. Stop daydreaming.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I just have a feeling he will contribute somewhere--if he can hobble into position then he still has his beautiful shot.

Between the trade that got Q here and the opp to cut 40M off the lux tax over 2 years? Allan is good as gone. It's about damn time.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

it would seem that at some point and time the human brain would realize that,

Allan Houston doesn't bring experience to the table if he is sitting on the bench

or that the Knickerbockers might even want to get Allan Houston off their cap.

Travis Knight, is that you?

Of course not, but if he can play I think Larry would like to use him in some capacity--he's one of the purest shooters in the league. Allan won't be off the cap if they cut him.

Houston will be released to get the luxury tax savings...i'm sure he'll sign on elsewhere for a low level contract, maybe with the Rockets or back with his old team in Detroit?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

If he goes to Detroit I couldn't help but cheer for him and Dyess to win a championship after the LB ordeal and how hard they've worked to get back.

Personally, I'd love to see Houston out on the floor. I miss watching him dribble the ball off his foot.

I was going to ask why you only have 22 posts, but you just answered my question

Good post. What shocks me is that most Knick fans are so caught up in Houstons "sweet jumsphot" or "he scored 50 points twice" to realize how much his style of play stagnated our offense. He never played D, never rebounded, never passed or drove the ball. He sucked. He had a good jumpshot but everything else sucked. He couldnt even rehab correctly! He should always be a 3rd option which would be someplace like Miami or Detriot.

Do you know how he rehabbed? He hired a high jumper. It didnt work! Do you have to be a doctor to know that it wasnt correct?

Dude, its not hindsight. He was asked to get surgery and he didnt do it. The GM, the team doctors and other doctors told him to get surgery! He chose high jumping! Is this hindsight? Are you kidding me?

Link please. I guarantee you he had AT LEAST one doctor recommend whatever rehab program he adopted.

Also, how wonderful you choose the one thing about him you cannot directly hold against him! His health. Of course no one can force him to get surgery but no one could force him to do something other than jumpshoot.

I know I know, Peja sucks too and Dirk and Reggie and Michael Redd and every other great shooter who is not Bruce Bowen on defense or Lebron on offense.

You look for the link. I dont have the time to research a player I severly dislike. I remember reading in the newspaper that the team doctors asked him to get surgery. It was on the radio too. If you missed it, too bad. You dont have to believe me of course and I doubt you will.
