From a Bucks forum poster:

NY 98 Bucks 91

"Sounds like a shoot-out...

Bogut had 16...Gaines had 20...for Bucks...

Channing Frye had 20 for Knicks...

New York made like 25-27 free throws...which is awesome...

Bucks only shot 69% from free throws...which probably cost them the game."

thats why i dont want walker. frye's best attributes are his beautiful touch. he should be starting 4 and slip to 5 with Sweetney and taylor swapping off th bench. Frye should get 12-15 att every game

I'm impressed too.

It is just summer league but the guys have shown alot of skill. It will be tough to see some of these guys sitting on the bench waiting his turn.....especially David Lee.....becasue he seems like the odd man out. That's why they are trying to make him a 3 in Vegas.

Channing is going to be ok. He probably just needs time to get used to the pace of the NBA. He's got plenty of guys in practice to learn from so he will be fine.

Exciting.....

Definately a far cry from the Dontae Jones, Walter McCarthy, John Wallace draft!!!!! If I'm not mistaken Dontae si in jail for a shooting!!! It's a blessing that the Knicks were able to get 3 good players in this draft.

Frye outscored Bogut. I'm curious what his rebounding and shot blocking stats were, but I think it's a good sign that he can put up 20 against a center drafted with the #1 pick

Bogut had 14 rebounds... Lee had 11...

So far in the Summer League Games... Lee last pick of the 1st round draft is better than the struggling Bogut, the first pick of the 1st round draft

Damn, hell of a game for Lee. If Frye gets 8+ boards in this game I'm giving him the nod over Bogut in this contest.

Remember this was Bogut's first week and hes two years younger than those guys.
the Knicks players had a week of this

For Bogut games of

21-13-2
16-11-2
16-14-2
is pretty darn good. I think except for May, he has alraedy shown to be the best rookie rebounder. Those numbers are duncanesque

I think Frye by far has shown he is the best skill player on offense shot 95+% from the line over 10 games and while he didnt shoot the ball well week 1 .423 he shot in the 64% range week to.

I'm really interested in Frye's developement. He really does have a nice touch around the basket. Like Lee, he can use both hands around the basket which is an asset and he has a pretty decent jumper. I like him at the 4, playing alongside JJ. JJ would be Frye's protection, keeping the bigger 4's and 5's from bullying him. I like his versatility and from the little I've seen, he has a better all around game now than our beloved Sweetney. That should be a good training camp battle for the starting 4 spot.

That's why I would love trading one of our PFs for a backup C. We could live at C with JJ and the other backup, while Frye could get many minutes at PF and some at C too while Sweets and JYD could get some time at PF too. Why do we have Mo T! LOL!

Mo T, JYD, Malik Rose, Sweetney, Butler. All trade bait. Who do you keep, who do you send away? That's the question. I would keep MO T and Sweetney. Maybe there is another BIG in the works. We still have TT and Penny's expiring contracts, so anybody thinking that this is a finished product or whining about who IT didn't get or pursue...SHUT UP!!!

I wish I knew if Butler is really 6'10" or not. If he is, he is automatically a backup C with JJ and Frye.

Interesting--- looks like Lee led the SL Knicks in 2 categories with 11 boards and 5 assists. Now if this guy could shoot the 3... we already have Antoine Walker right here.

Looks like we need to dump one of mo T/JYD/Rose/Sweetney fast. Or TT for draft picks or something.

We need room on our roster fast, cuz these 3 rookies look ready to contribute.

Just like when Zeke took over, we have a glut of 4's and 2's and need to clean some of them out!

Frye is gonna rock. So will Lee, and so does Nate!

I think that Butler is actually closer to 6'8"-6'9", but he is still a wide body. All three of the rookies look like they will contribute something this season. That's a good thing. I don't think I even seen Lee take a jumper. Everytime I've seen him touch the ball he is driving to the basket. Very agressive.
