I don't understand his intent at all. I know that the media always try to find something to write about, but if what they are reporting is true, I will strongly question Isiah's vision. Marshall has been reported as one of the players that Isiah is looking at acquiring...As it stands right now, our weakness is not at SF/PF position. We need a freaking Center that can do two things Zeke, rebound and block shots. Stay within the parameters of what we need, stop venturing around our problem. Concentrate on the Center position and by mid season orchestrate a trade to add the other piece that we need.

Marshall, Kwame and Walker can't provide what we need...If we can trade TT or Penny to get one of those two, it would be ok, but if we can't trade Penny or TT, forget about it..

the Knicks haven't had a center since they sent Ewing packing.

STOP GOING BY THE PAPERS CONCERNING FREE AGENTS AND TRADE RUMORS.

most signings and trades come out of left field.

has zeke ever mentioned jerome james, toine, kwame, yell?

it's all what writers are saying, and if you actually read what they're saying, it's all speculation.

who knows what's going on and who isiah is actually talking to - we'll just have to wait and see.

these papers are an absolute joke. those writers are nothing more than posters that went to journalism school so they can have their op-ed pieces printed.

until i hear zeke say actual players name or is "this close" to making a deal with somene, it's all speculation.

I gotta agree here, b/c while Zeke does seem to go slightly around the main problem sometimes (that horrendous Mo Taylor trade), he usually targets just what we need, or, for that matter, getting rid of what we don't.

As of right now, I'm liking Magloire. He's 26-27, and a LEGIT Big man. None of your everday Kwames or Stros are gonna make a real impact...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

yeah, we are brothers like you and isles are husband and wife

seriously tho, some of those players listed ain't helping us accomplish anything and every move so far, other than the craw deal, that zeke has made sort of crept up on us so i've had enough with the players mentioned in the paper.

you referring to stro, kwame, and james only...or is Magloire in there too?

Caz if you'd refuse a Magloire-type big man I'd say your crazy.

Maybe he wants Donyell Marshall so we can have an outside shooter who will be a legitimate threat from outside.

But outside shooter should not be on the radar right now, because if we don't have an inside presence, the outside shooting will not do us any good. As far as I am concerned, I do believe that we have enough outside shooting now that we have Q. combined with what TT/Crawf/Marb can offer, we are pretty set with our ouside shooters. We may not have a consistant shooter like Houston, but we have more than enough guys that can stretch the court....However, we still need an inside inforcer....1.5 block shots a game and one that can rebound and do the dirty work....

By now it doesn't take a trade guru to see what IT does in the form of rebuilding. The crawford signing and nazr, rose, were back up plans for Allan houston, nazr for rose ( who he has been sweating since nearly giving kt up for him a year ago).

Mo taylor is TT back up plan, and penny...well.. is done.

Still none of it makes much sense on the surface, but we will see, because he seems to make moves, that are UNCONVENTIONAL, and sometimes LAYDEN LIKE.

I don't see why Kwame can't provide help at the center position. We know he is a bust at the #1 pick but I believe he can be quite servicable and with the right tutalge can get his head on straight and become a much better player then he is right now. I would take Magloire but only in the right deal, I think he's vastly overrated, he would be able to pull down some boars and block a few shots and thats fine, but I don't want to give up the farm for him.

Yeah, but not at the expense of a more productive/obedient/hard worker like Sweetney....I don't want to trade Sweetney just to get a 6'11" type of player with less of a heart...I am sorry...

Kwame has less Heart but Sweetney has 40 more LBS and 4inches less in height!

I think its more realistic to expect Kwame to perform well with a change of scenery and under Aguirre and a real PG not Hughes and Arenas than to keep waiting for Sweetney to lose 30LBS! Aguirre can only do so much with a 300LBer who can't stay on the floor because he's overweight

Do you know how many coaches that have tried to teach Kwame??? what makes you think that Agwire can turn this kid's fortune around? We already know what Sweetney can do.....He is not one of those players that requires much to produce...Kwame does...He will not rebound if he is not involved in the game early, he will not do the small things, and he is not a good team mates...that boy is flat out ignorant. He was given too much too early in his career, therefore he is not hungry...

gambling on Kwame at the expensive of the 300LB Sweetney is not that big a gamble.

I am going to ignore this argument about Kwame and Sweetey....because we both have different views on those two. I will take a hard worker before going for a talented player with no heart any day...

that is a great point but in doesn't apply to Sweetney. staying fit and eating healthy requires hardwork and discipline too. especially when you're making millions and you have all the time & money in the world to work on your body.

Staying fit is something that you can teach, but getting a heart can only be obtained through transplant
