anyone who hates a draft that includes stealing Nate Robinson at 21 is out of their mind!

I don't think anyone is going to post here

That's what i'm talking about Crzy. I knew I couldn't be the only person that was thinking the same way.

I think Brynum is gonna be very very good eventually. I think Green is gonna be a keeper and I think Graham is just going to be okay. I do however think that Granger is gonna be very good years before all of them. Having said that...they ain't Knicks!

Andrew, request for you (i'm serious): Please make a "Hate the picks" or "Why not Bynum, Graham, Granger and/or Green" sticky thread. That way the infection can be contained.

Again, i'm serious

RV.. that's going to start even more arguments haha. Frye is a knick, theres no use crying about it. He will be a solid pro and *might* have the ability to be a all-star, he will be a perfect fit into the system that Isiah is trying to implament. Case closed.

yeah good point...I must say though, I was even shocked at myself for watching a Summer League game. My buddy sms'd me to tell me about it as well (he doesn't want to come to UltKnicks because...well, you know)

I'm actually MORE excited about this year than I was about last...Imagine...just imagine zeke gets the 1.5 bigs he's looking for AND we get rid of players we don't need (Penny) or can't use (H20).

Forget about trading marbs...if I'm not mistaken, we could be under the cap after next year by accident.

A little levity on liking or hating frye...

While some have been quick to anoint Frye the steal of the draft, Knicks assistant coach Mark Aguirre offered a refreshing take on the 6-11 rookie.

"I like where he is now but he doesn't know the NBA game," Aguirre said. "He doesn't know leverage yet, he doesn't know angles yet. He doesn't know how to lock people yet and those are things you have to know. He doesn't know that yet but he will.

"He's strong enough to be effective in the post. He just has to learn how to do it."

I like the tolerance for a difference of opinion, apparently its like Fyre or die!

I hope he is great, but I don't think liking the draft, or IT, or Frye, or any other player on the Knicks is a must to be Knicks fan. I root for the logo on the jersey.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

exactly the funny thing is that a lot of people who are all gung-ho will be bashing the team when they are in the lottery again next year because they bought into offseason hype. I made that mistake last year when we were "supposably" he Atlantic division champs only to have another 30win season. I'm not making the same mistake this year of buying into Isiah's every move. Heck I even bought into the TT trade. Its not happening again. I don't want to look stupid this time come mid-season

exactly. it helps when you can look at a team and see a little defense and right now there is none in the starting lineup. No balance whatsoever. Its nice when you can have a frontline that scores inside and plays defense to go along with an OK offensive backcourt that can always get better. but right now we have no frontcourt. We have a 300LB PF who won't be able to log 30mins without fouling out do to weight issues and a jumpshooter who can't rebound next to him.

But we'll see. I'm hoping we can do something by trading crawford, Sweetney, TT and co to imorove the team

You are not saying anything the others dont know. Of course its a flawed lineup. Of course there are holes there and yes there is no balance. I doubt anyone here will disagree with you. It would be hard to convince a Knick fan that there is balance on our roster. Couple of more things.

1) It's the off season that has just begun so stop being impatient as if its november.

2) We have tradeable assests in Penny and TT and we havent used them yet.

3) Isiah Thomas has barely begun adding to fill the holes

4) Isiah has only been here a year and half so give him another season. It takes up longer to clean up Laydens mess.

I just hope that Jerome James isn't the big offseason acquisition than everyone here falls in love with this team only to be seriously disappointed. I get the feeling every since Ewing left and we've been strapped people have been settling for mediocrity without realizing you need aim higher. just my opinion though..

TT & Penny can still get us a good player. but most likely they'll get us someone who will destroy our cap for years to come and we won't get passed the 2nd rd, which is why I deep down I think its better to let them expire and trade Steph and build through the lottery and then sign championship calibur players with the room. Like Miami, Phoenix, Lakers & San Antonio did

Thats not true at all. Load the bases to hit a grand slam. If try to hit a HR at every pitch chances are you wont even get on base. Jerome James is not a good center, I agree I wont be happy to get him either but he did better in the playoffs than your boy Kwame ever did. Check out his playoff stats. Just cause you are "aiming" higher doesnt make your plan any better. Actually your plan includes Kwame who will be a bigger bust than Sweetney. Not because of the lack of talent but because of the lack of motivation.
