Bynum. I'm not impressed with Frye's late season run. If he had done it consistantly for the entire year it would be a different story.

If it has to be one of those two players, I'd say Bynum. But based on what I've read, I place Granger as high as Bynum.

I'm warming up to the idea of Frye...but BRIGGS still has me on a Bynum high.

My feelings exactly. I don't want Frye but if we get him I'll give him a shot.

I've been a Granger guy from the start and want him over Bynum or Frye. I maintain that it is IMPERATIVE to get another pick in the top 25.
We will NEVER win with Marbury as our cameo guy.

Joey Grahem also intrigues me but I picked Bynum.

What has Bynum done to impress you more than Frye? At least what Frye has done, he has done it against better competition. I really don't know what to think. I rather see the Knicks pick the best player avaliable (probably a SG or a SF) and move up that #30 to get Petro. Bynum has been soo overhyped here and when you read articles they just tell you about how raw he still is to be picked in the lottery. We have made many mistakes already and we can't afford to pick Bynum that high to then watch him become a bust.

Not that I would pick Frye, its just that Bynum has been soo hyped for a guy that not everyone sees picked up in the first round. I guess I'll have to trust Isiah's judgement here. If he indeed guaranteed Frye #8, it has to be for something good. I hope we pick the best player avaliable, move that #30 up and grab Petro. I would be more than ok with that...

Frye, because he has a solid low post game, Nearly 7 feet, added on 25 pounds of muscle and is looking to add more. People say he's not focused and goes thru mental laps during games. A guy training with MJ's trainer seems very focused to me. All his workouts have been excellent.

I know the idea of drafting a 7 foot 3 future Shaq might be intriguing but it seems Bynum will be a bust. He's only 17. A 17 year old is not ready for the mental and physical rigors off a NBA Season. Plus if the Lakers dont take him at 10 there is a good chance we get him at 30.

this is exactly what I'm thinking. let me tell you - I am a new jersey resident and know my share of how bynum is as a prospect. Yes, this guy could be a real player, a real star - but the chances of him being a huge bust seem much more likely to me. Right now he doesn't seem like star material. He certainly has the height going for him, but I truly think he does not belong among the top 10 in this year's draft.

OMG!!!! FINALLY!!! There are other people on this forum that aren't freaking out about taking Bynum at 8. He's projected to go later, so try to get him later. Frye and Petro will be in the draft and Morris might stay in too. I'd be happy to get him, but Bynum isn't the only C in the draft. And he's not the highest ranked in any mock.

Why just these two? Aren't there some other players in the draft?

Well, these were the only choices on this particular poll. Im a big fan of Danny Granger as are many others here, but the main discussion has been Frye vs. Bynum.

Im sure if we choose a Danny Granger, a Gerald Green etc.. that would suffice

Im pretty sure most people have canceled out any of the PF's PG's obscure foreign players like Vazquez Martynas or crppy, skinny HS players like Monta Ellis

I would say that the pick would be out of Granger Webster Green Bynum Frye. I think one problem with the Knicks is they didnt do enough due dilligence on Bynum when he was in shape compared to anything before hand, two different players. Mock drafts are often quite wrong, and I think the people here ar smart enough to realize that anything can happen. Do I thinik you are going to see specimens like Bynum coming down the pipeline? NO, NO, and NO.

This is a funny thread. Its supposed to be "realisitic" but only one player was really considered by Isiah out of the two. Now that Bynum isn't even working out for the Knicks, its pretty much set in stone that we're not getting him at 8.

A good poll shouldve been between Frye and some swingmen: Granger, Webster, maybe Graham. And you couldve thrown the other big all the mock drafts are projecting at around 8: Vasquez. Instead, the poll has Bynum who doesn't have anything more than a ridiculous amount of hype on some Knick boards.

I put these two out there just to see how the postas are feeling about them. It was topical today, of course there are others to consider, but these two just made for good debate.
