I love KT and the effort he brings most nights- he does a lot without any big time ESPN highlight physical abilities. A lot of you seem to want to trade him. The question is, what can you realistically expect for him in a deal?

I think it will be a trade involving him and others that brings us Elton Brand.

In terms of big contracts that are out there, Brand is the one I come to that might be available. He's talented, but the clips can get a talented big every summer when they pick 1 through 8.

I hope he is available.

The Clipps have Wilcox and Kaman down low.....I think that kid Livingston would be better suited for Wilcox since Wilcox isn't a real post player and is built for a speed game that Livinston seems to be good at.

It all depends what the Clippers think.......and that is 50-50.

10-9 pf is no biggy in the NBA. You put any pf and give him KT's minutes and he walks out of the game average 10 and 8. Ther ain't no scret he is a scrub.

i do believe he has solid value, i d like to see us get an ending contract and a reasonable first round pick in 2005.

I dont think one fan wants to keep KT at this point.

depends what you get for him. I'm not in a hurry to get rid of him. Sure, I hope Sweets puts him to the bench, but while we could do better, we could also do worse.

yeah I wouldn't care at all if the team was made better by trading KT, but I don't want to see it collapse without a solid big man emerging (sweetney) or being traded here.
I don't think we all realize how much that midrange jumpshot that we all love to make fun of him for matters when nothing else is falling for us. He consistently hits that and in some games, it's the only type of shot that's regularly falling.

i would take a first round pick and something close to an ending contract, or a 1 a young player who hasnt gotten the PT who may have additional years + a smaller ending contract.
Im not going to give him away, but all I want is a pick
even if it ends up as pick 27 or something.

I would trade either Nazr or KT right now. Nazr would have to be a decent pick say in the 12-16 range and a young player. Then just stick KT at center (again) and camp Sweetney under the basket. Something like Harpring and a #1 or Dalembert along w/ Kevin Ollie's contract.
As for KT I would take less... pretty much any expiring or almost expiring contract and a #1 no matter how late. Potempeko and Seatle's #1 makes some sense for both teams. To me this is addition by subtraction. It makes Sweetney the starter. It also gets Ariza more playing time because JYD becomes the backup 4 (leave him to start at the 3). Heck, do both deals and it solves a ton.

Kevin Ollie is good defender, and has a sh!t contract, but with Dalembert attached he's worth it. Heck, if we can eat Shandon's deal we can eat Kevin Ollie's.

Then we look like this rotation wise
pg Marbury/Ollie/Brewer
sg Crawford/Houston
sf JYD/Ariza/TT
pf Sweetney/JYD
c Dalembert/Baker/Sundov
and you have 2 #1s plus Houston's #2 and like $40mm in expiring deals.

I wouldn't trade Nazr. What really needs to happen is this, we need to retain our youth. Trade Kurt, Houston, and TT

You must not want to get that much in return then?

Hell, at this point all we need is draft picks for those scrubs.......It is not necessary to get a big name in return, because with big names, we have to accept big contracts....

Those 3 would be the desirable guys to trade, but realistically, we have no shot at trading Houston until the final year of his contract (if then).
Kurt we could package with some expiring contract and bring in someone valueable, but on his own, I'm scared to think of what we would get.
TT can bring in something nice for the simple fact of his contract, but not quite yet. Just stomach him for a while longer and it should pay off.

Nobody will give up a draft pick for those players with their contracts. All you'll get are players with equally bad contracts.

kurt to dallas for booth and a first rounder.

i would do it, i think dallas might.

booth will give you more rebounds and way more blocks than thomas.

when you want to go big

c-booth
pf-nazr

booth is younger, bigger and has 2 years less, and we get a pick.

i've been trying to pass this one off for the whole year now.

in kurts 36 minutes booth could give you 10, 10 and 4.

pull the trigger

basing anything on the clipp's strategy is risky cause you never know how they'll react...

I would do the Booth trade, but Dallas doesnt have any #1s to give up. Still, if you get Booth it lets start Sweetney and move Nazr this offseason
