The final roster spot comes down to a player with no years of experience (based on the finances) and would have to be a second round exception or undrafted rookie with a similar contract structure. Realistically it’s going to be Diawara, Nnaji or Dink Pate. None of them stood out tonight but it’s only one game. Also remember it’s can’t be McCullar, who is technically a second year player. It could be someone else they have rights on, or another player who has never played in the league and no team has rights over, but that’s very unlikely. So who’s it going to be?

Big mishap the Knicks had was playing McCullar in 4 games last year to prevent their ability to sign him to the second round exception. Should have kept him as a true redshirt and let him come into his rookie year this year. He would be a shoe-in for that final spot.
