Who do you think is going to win the series... and in how many games?
The Knicks have some injury problems, but to this point our depth has more than come through. And RJ found his game again. The Heat have injury problems and they don't have any reasonable backup options to replace those players. Still they managed to beat the Bucks, they have a proven championship coach, and they have some veteran weapons with championship experience in Love and Lowry (and Haslem!). In the end, I think the Knicks still have too many counters to what the Heat (as presently constructed) have to offer. Of course, 1 injury can really change the complexion of the series but I'll go with 4-2 Knicks win.

Going knicks in 6. Can't fathom anything else but that kind of prediction. could be 5, could be 7.
Miami who had to win a play in game just to get the last seed just beat the top seed. yeah, that worries me.
They fukcked up the best team in the league all season.
Im not in the NYmentality state of euphoric "Look at me, told you so, and will tell you again" mindset.
Im happy, and it will take me years before I start doing the playoff confidence thing. These grisley vet teams like Miami and GSW are tougher then their regular season record would depict and while on paper we should walk over them, they have a playoff core that is accomplished. We are just starting our run.
I like our chances a lot. There is a path to finals. Its just gonna take a while. Thats the fun part though.
NO matter what happens this season its been a qualified success!!!!!

Knicks in 4. They are rolling and the Heat had their hands full with the Knicks when they were at full strength. Losing Herro and Dipo will hurt them where they needed to be strongest. Randle and Grimes are certainly not going to be 100%, but I think our backups are 100% prepared to step up.

Jimmy Butler is an amazing player and deserves all the accolades for his work against the Bucks. We don’t really have an answer for him. But short of him out scoring the Knicks single-handedly I just don’t think it’s going to be enough. The Knicks physicality will be too much. I’d consider putting Miles McBride on him for stretches.

Knicks in 4.

You know I gonna spin wit it

This feels so right. Having to go through the Heat and the Pacers to get to the top. Pacers don't have Reggie and Rick Smits so they suck. Heat on the other hand are a real team. We have defenders to throw at Butler and Mitch can give Bam the business. Question is, who on the Heat is going to check Brunson?

Knicks in 6 worked for the Cavs (and they got it done even sooner) so sticking with the tried and true.

NYK in 6...ftw!!!

Defending Jimmy Butler is not the same as defending Donavan Mitchell, but with Hart, Grimes and Quickley to throw at him, I think we have guys who won't back down and will make it hard for him. They only had two other players that could create their own offense- Herro and a lesser extent Oladipo. And those guys are both out. The difference between this series and the Cavs series is the Heat have many, many shooters. Strus, Robinson, Love, Vincent, Martin - these guys will all make 3s if you leave em open, whereas Oladipo, Levert and Osman couldn't hurt us consistently. Adebayo has more dimensions to his game Mobley at this point - but I have 100% confidence in Mitch/Hartenstein.

great analysis. I was looking at how they beat the Bucks (its almost perplexing) and you nailed it. Miami shot 45% from 3. There's no way Thibs see's that and lets them fire away.

Its going to be really interesting. I dont want to underestimate the Heat, but I dont see how they can hang with us. Bam is a monster, but after that they are leaning heavily on Love (he's played well) and guys like Caleb Martin who are their versions of our Josh Hart.

I see another big rebounding advantage. I just dont think Miami's shooting is sustainable. Even with Giannis being banged up I dont know how Miami shot .519 and .450 from 3 FOR THE SERIES. Are they expecting to repeat that?

That's kind of been Thibs MO since he's been here. We give up a bunch of threes. The fact that they have three point shooters worries me. I'm curious to see what defensive tweaks, if any, Thibs makes.
