Kendrick Perkins saying Kyrie is not playing and thus would not be invited to orlando and perhaps that might have some bearing on him.
Health perspective. Lets be real, not all teams will be in the "bubble" all three months. Some teams will go home after 8 games. If no bye rounds, half the teams will go home after the first round.
Reality is you won't keep this bubble completely air tight. Some players are concerned about their health and some are concerned about lack of freedoms. While they are supremely gifted athletes and there is a lot of money at stake for many players who also have commitments. Not all players have mega contracts. This is their pay day and for some it has to last a very long time.
"White Billionaires"...........Easy stereotype. Some of them are very philinrhopical and have made their fortunes by being in tune with reality building diverse organizations. Not every owner is a ****head like dolan or Dan Gilbert. NBA has Jordan, a diverse group in Atlanta, Indian owner in SAC and Chinese owner in Brooklyn. Im just going off the top of my head. NBA to me has been one of the most progressive leagues and responsive to its players.
Not perfect, just better than most.
If players strike it blows up the CBA? Social change always comes with a sacrifice. Historically many have given their lives or disrupted careers. I think its unfair to ask the league owners to bare the responsabilty. This is the players decision. Can they be fair? Can there be a compromise? Of course. But the CBA is a business agreement. The owners in many cases have bills to pay, arenas to fund, practice facilities with staff to fund, and maybe debt used to buy the team to service. Owners can stand with their players but in business the union is not always the good guy either.
I think atheltes accross college and pro would make a profound statement if unified. I won't tell another man how to protest, how to feel, or what to sacrifice. I am just discussing.
