Should we Consider Luke Walton this OFF SEASON????

I think we should be looking to improve our roster, philosophy, style of play, etc, with our development of KP6 for our future

IN a sense, I think we have to consider moving on with Fisher *possibly demoting him* and going for Luke Walton as our Head Coach, along with some GS players and former talents, so we can learn to play like GS does on both OFFENSE and DEFENSE

Players if we can get them on CHEAP and/or reasonable deals, some of which can be vet mins like

Kent Baezemore, Justin Holiday, Mo Speights, Feztiz Ezili *as a solid backup/if we can move Lopez as a positive contract to get assets and sign another talents instead like Whiteside* (Livingston when his contract expires *which would be a TRIANGLE/Phil Jackson type of player/PG*)
It would be nice if we can have Lin back for a reasonable deal and Gallanari as well

Though I dont check UK anymore, I sometimes read some posts
I read a post by nycporzingis about how he would construct the roster and I agree with him and think he provides some great posts/opinions/philosophies on this board

I simply do not believe in Affalo in a long term deal, as he will continue to get older lose more athleticism/speed/quickness etc
He tries to mimic Kobe/Jordan and their game, but without the size/height/athleticism and overall skill sets
Continuing to force it on Klay Thompson was not very bright and though he brings some toughness, I do not believe in him long term because of his age/inconsistency and eventually will decline

No other team in the entire NBA knows how to utilize the entire roster efficiently an effectively
In terms of PLAYER MOVEMENT with BAll MOVEMENT, USING SCREENS/SETTING SCREEENS, 1v1 and HELP DEFENSE, EFFICIENCY, KEEPING all players mentally focused and involved
THE POST GAME for the Triangle has never worked effectively with DOMINATE TALENTS that are the TOP TIER TALENTS with many versatile talents with them as well
We simply do not have such talents to execute this OLD SCHOOL STYLE of play that I believe is somewhat out dated
However, Kerr still took philosophies from it and some sets, but uses them totally differently

Mark Jackson did a good job in terms of building fundamentals, bringing the YOUNG team to play as a DEFENSIVE unit in terms of EFFORT, however, Steve Kerr along with his staff, clearly understood how to utilize the strengths of the roster and is able to motivate and develop the roster to a completely another level

Kerr, however, was able to take them to a completely ANOTHER LEVEL with X and O's, a philosophy that best suited his team
As a analyst, I personally knew Kerr was extremely SMART as he spoke with his HIGH BB IQ, knew how evaluate talent, motivate the entire roster with REGULAR season games, and the difference of play off basketball and regular season games

No, I don't think Walton is Steve Kerr however, I think he has learned what works, what doesnt and what doesn't along with being an assistant with Phil Jackson
Todays game has changed much with the skill sets and range of players come in from all positions than Phil Jackson's dominance years with TOP TIER talents that we do not have...

GS like Dantoni's philosophy doesn't generally go for POST UP to initiate OFFENSE like Phil Jackson's teams did, because it takes away the ability to penetrate as an option for all players

If Whiteside continues to develop his POST game, we could be bidding for him along with The Lakers for his services for about 20m a year
He already is by far the best shot blocker and leader in triple doubles with blocks
I do not know what will be "fair" and what would be overpaying with the cap going up every year for a player/talents....

I am glad we didn't outbid for DeMarre Carroll at 15 per year in which Briggs felt it was a much better player than Draymond Green *who was not deserving of a MAX*
There are noticeable changes to CA this year and his effort is there on DEFENSE, along with instilling confidence in his team
I think having JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, and Woodson's regime enabled many poor habits that his friends were willing to allow CA to do, instead of playing TEAM BALL
Both Iman and Smith can be solid players but changes needed to be made and we didn't want to pay to keep them here but got severely lowballed in the deal

As I always said from the Kerr rumors to New York, I never thought he was a REAL "non experience coach, while FISHER totally was and was simply not prepared and still learning on the fly"
I think he is a solid coach to HELP DEVELOP A TEAM that is rebuilding/changing identities from our poor habits however, I personally have no faith that he can take us to the next level...

Kerr's entire experiences from a player with many future HOF talents in coaching and players, fails as a GM, as a TnT/Basketball commentator/analyst *as he continued to be a scout for players/coaches/systems and could see it as a former player, former GM, and as a future coach *in which he was preparing himself to be*

If you actually pay attention and watch them play, you would realize that he has taken philosophies from many other successful coaches with some tweaks, along with being a TOP DEFENSIVE team as well
In terms of ball movement WITH player movement, utilizing screens, and philosophies on DEFENSE
There are counters to EVERY move they make and they play as 1 unit very well while utilizing their strengths and skills of the roster

Injuries on the roster

Whether it was when Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, all took time off this year, they were able to make adjustments for the roster (credit to Luke Walton as well)

This GS team along with Curry, reminds of Jordan a lot and the Bulls, with their motivation/confidence/defense/efficiency and HUNGER for EACH and EVERY GAME
While Curry's game is NOTHING like JOrdan's, his numbers are very impressive, along with with his confidence/work ethic/ Dominance in a different way/ and most of all FOCUS/WILL TO WIN/CLUTCH
Like the 90's Bulls, GS stays HUNGRY/MOTIVATED and has GREAT CONFIDENCE, using ANY FUEL to motivate them to do better

Kerr influenced by his experiences in college as well, more importantly he was a disciple of two of the GREATEST coaches in this past decade, Greg Poppavich and Phil Jackson, also as a GM of the Sun's, was able to witness to philosophy of Dantoni and the strengths of it (in which how has now influenced the ENTIRE NBA in todays game with the rule changes of the importance of PACE OF GAME, PUSHING TEMPO. FORCING MISMATCHES, USING the 3pt line and ability to penetrate/finish, in which Poppavich had changed from his traditional style of the OLD SCHOOL GAME with Tim Duncan/Robinson to the way they play today
However, he had tweaked it so they were always still a TOP DEFENSIVE team

Some of which were positive and some of which were negative, it helped him become the coach he is today

He absorbed ALL the experiences from a player that was around some of the TOP TALENT of the entire NBA in the past 2 decades, their different styles of leadership, motivation, different style of DEFENSE, the need to constantly MOTIVATE THE TEAMS TOP PLAYERS to the bottom of the roster as a role player himself
Not only was he able to absorb all the knowledge as a player, GM, analyst/game commentator, *in which he was in a sense a scout and he prepared himself to be a head coach one day *though it was thought to be a hiring by Phil Jackson to open the door for him*

With the ability to absorb knowledge he has the ability to dissect what works and how to express it to his staff/players/management/GM etc....
In general, ROLE players tend to become better coaches...

His love for the game NEVER stopped and he always analyzed players talents/roster/coaches, along with the strengths and weakness's and why it works or doesnt, along with the counters
TO prepare himself to be a HEAD coach one day, he visited Pete Carroll and seeked advvice from many successful coaches on how to motivate a team and be a leader...
With his failures as a GM, he also learned the importance of RELATIONSHIPS from players to players, players to coach, coach to GM and MANAGEMENT/OWNER, along with X and O's

Teams and Players that instilled CONFIDENCE in the team and in return were dynasties in their team

Bulls
=======
Jordan/Pippen, Kukoch/Rodman/Ron Harper and many solid role players, along with a season of Brian Williams who was severely under rated along with

Spurs
=======
Duncan, Robinson, Horry, Parker/Ginobili, Horry, Steve Smith/Brent Barry, and how they changed

Jailblazers
===============

Rasheed Wallace, Bonzi Wells, Sabonis, Pippen, Rueben Patterson, Damion Stadamire, Steve Smith, and one of the DEEPEST team that should have beat the the Lakers had it none been from some poor officiating

Sun's
========

with the Steve Nash/Marion/STAT era, along with Boris Diaw, Grant Hill/Barbosa, etc....
He wanted to bring in Tom Thibs as a DEFENSIVE coach *IN WHICH DANTONI wasn't budging* to be the lead assistant as he understood that in order to improve the SUNS, they needed to defend at a higher level with some BIGS
He took a shot at Shaq and it obviously didn't work but he also understood he needed to tweak the roster/defense a bit to improve

Curry is basically Steve Kerr on Steroids, with a much greater skill set, handles, ability to create/facilitate and know how to score both ON AND OFF THE BALL while once witnessing talents like Reggie Miller, David Stockton/Mark Jackson and many players/talents that he had played with/against at different points in their career

Many players didnt win a ring however, there were many different talents that he played with/against

From the late 80s to 90s, and in a sense a scout as a TNT, he was able to learn and scout the strengths/weakness's of PLAYERS and COACHES, along with what worked and didn't work and WHY
After failing as a GM, he could see things as a player/GM/management/coach and TAKE ALL OF HIS EXPERIENCES and dissect what works for his roster

I am not sure if Walton is near Kerr but I just don't believe Fisher can take us to the next level...

Another coach gets the ax...would take Hornacek or Blatt in a heartbeat over Fisher.

phil wants HIS guy fisher to do the job. hiring anyone else would be admitting a mistake. besides this team has .500 talent, so im not expecting much
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Lakers are a better fit for him as they are going to go into a total rebuild. Also, he is a West Coaster. Knicks need an experienced coach if we are going to go down that road

Only interested in Walton if he makes the final call on what offense to run.

This is very strangest thought dump RonRon. Lots about GWS, Kerr... and then you ask about Walton and Fisher.

whatever offense Walton choses, it will be a lot more inovating than the ISO Melo or Aflalo.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Logically, yes, Walton would be an upgrade over Fisher.

Knowing Jackson, he'll want to be proven "right" about his backup pick to Kerr, so he'll give Fisher, his plan Z coach pick, another year.

When Captain Obvious visits us we all get real smart.
Kerr is better than Fish. Only way to quantify would be to switch them at that exact moment in time. FIsh takes over 55 win team with Alvin Gentry as top dog and see if they win a chip.
Kerr takes on Knicks with obvious roster disaster and what occurs?

Walton takes over for Kerr but Kerr is still around? Gee, the team just won a chip and its MVP is even better this year!!!

Captain Obvious whispers in your ear "You do see what I see, right? If Walton was knicks coach its obvious the team would be better"

That's just plain ignorant.

Look what we do have, Fish has Melo playing like a true allstar well rounded player. Its not just Fish of course, its the gang of 36 bing coaching and his buy in. Is our rookie not developing wonderfully?
Is ROLO improving as the season goes along? Derek Williams is getting better. Lance Thomas is a big part of this team......On and on.

Only think I see that can derail Fisher is if he don't want the gig. Maybe he just is not that into it and if so he'll negotiate his way out in some fashion.
Nothing I see tells me Fish is failing. Great coach's all have great players, and great players make great coach's. 50 games in from total rebuild and our vets healthy and this team is about right, .500ish and on the upswing.

Based on in game situations. Not just GS record.

Fisher brain farts almost all end of game (not fouling, stupid substitutions, and general game management) situations.

I mean, it's pretty obvious.

Fisher set play coming out of timeout in tight game in 4th quarter, very intricate X and O's drawn out on the clipboard being done here and sophisticated instructions given to each player in the diagram:

looking for value is important, just throwing some names out there, some of which could be signed probably for "cheap"

without the obvious Batums etc, some cheaper contracts *though we do not know what is the "price tag anymore for talents/tiers in their positions because the way the cap is going to be going up"
However, with Jordan who has been known to be CHEAP and stubborn as hell, giving MKG a near MAX deal, with many other willingness to spend from the first 24-48 hours of FA this past summer

In the Summer
Phil Jackson has to decide if he will be building for our future, both present and future, possibly within the NEXT 2 years and going ALL IN with a roster that can compete for a LEGIT chance while he can see it as an executive

1- We need to upgrade or speed/quickness/athleticism/versatility (especially to push TEMPO more and for 1v1 and HELP DEFENSE)
2- We need more TOP TIER all STARS that will elevate our role players (though we can save the cap and persue some FA's the following year such as Westbrook, CP3, Blake Griffen, and MANY OTHER FA's)

This summer, we can consider Whiteside at a near max deal of 20m per year (that would make us the best shot blocking team in the entire NBA with KP, as both are young and can compliment each other very well
At that price tag could be a "steal with the way the cap is going up with players such as DeMaRRe Carroll getting 3year 15m per year

Making Whiteside our Shaq/Bynum with better SHOT BLOCKING, especially if we can trade Robin Lopez and his contract to get assets with the way the cap is going up can be possible*
While KP continues to develop in to a combination of Dirk and Pau Gasol

Especially if we sign Luke Walton, getting HIGH IQ/2 way talents, some of which that played under GS already or some teams such as Spurs/Atlanta/Chicago or/and some TEAM concept teams with high BB IQ
Some of which can be signed to be our Lance Thomas/Lou Amundson *or near end of bench rotation/practice players*
Wanting to play more as a team on both ends like GS does

with the BB IQ, DEFENSE, PLAYER AND BALL MOVEMENT
utilization of Triangle Sets, with Dantoni's philosophy,

1v1 and HELP DEFENSE *when to help and how much to help while still defending their own man*

HOW TO SET GOOD SCREENS/HOW TO USE SCREENS with the shooters to space the floor *that GS ALL DOES VERY WELL to help them with the assist as a team

HOW to shoot/score with a variety of ways from set shots, using screens, off the dribble, a stretch 4 that Draymond Green developed a 3pter with confidence

GS and their team/players has many COUNTER moves with GREAT anticipation on both ends, which can be credited to the coaching staff/talent, chemistry/HIGH IQ, depth/versatile skill sets

- Kent Baezemore
Justin Holiday/James Mcadoo

- Mo Speights/David Lee

if GS does indeed look to sign Durant,

With Harrison Barnes and Festiz Ezili as RFA's they may not be able to resign both of them if they want to go after Durant or even another TOP TIER FA's
As Harrison Barnes was unwilling to resign at about 15m per year last summer both RFA's will have a cap hold of 250% of their RFA contract of which they may have to lose if they make an offer to Durant
Though they can possibly try to move some other players under contract instead and possibly just Barnes

they may need to trade some players such as

Iggy/Bogut/ Livingston/ Jason Thompson *would need to give up draft picks for Thompson*

I would have great interest in Iggy and Livingston if we just had to offer cap space
If we are building for our future, Jason Thompson with multiple draft picks is not a bad deal at all, as he has been a solid player on the Kings with only 1 year left on his deal

I like Harrison Barnes but unless we can be a LEGIT contender while adding TOP TIER talents first, he would be cost too much IMO, though he is a very versatile defender

Brandon Rush *not the same player he was prior to his knee injury but for the vet min could contribute and help us our with "changes to play more like GS on both ends
The Anticipation on BOTH ENDS and THINKING AS A TEAM *staying ahead, that people do not realize that GS does very well*

Ian Clark
Barbosa
Justin Holiday
Kuzmic *released last summer and is a Center*

*some help to bolster or DEFENSE, not the biggest names but some solid/versatile defenders*
==================================================================================================

MOST OF WHICH ARE UFA's

Norris Cole

E'Twaun Moore *always liked his game, solid combo guard on both ends*

Kent Baezemore *just a very solid player and has continued to improve, could be our Danny Green type talent though there would be a price tag that I would NOT go over*

Wesley Johnson *wanted him this past summer and think he is really under rated, while drafted and played in the triangle a bit already, *played SG to PF (with the Lakers under Dantoni)

James Johnson *solid versatile defender and paired with LT or replacement if LT wants more money/contract that we would want to save for our future, VERY poor mans Draymond Green, can handle the ball a bit *not like Green and still has solid athleticism, DEFENSE, VERSATILITY (to defend multiple position)

Matt Barnes *if we do make changes to Luke Walton, unlikely to work with Derek Fisher*
Luc Mboute

*still a believe in Thanasis and his upside on DEFENSE to improve his game/shooting just as Trevor Ariza had developed in the Lakers, as we all liked him on the Knicks but was close to be sent overseas to the D League had he not improved his 3pt shot*
I also want to keep him to try to eventually lure his brothers over when they are eligible as BAIT
I would love Giannes one day, especially after CA's contract is up, who can play a Magic Johnson and YOUNG LEBRON role with the right players
Can play POINT CENTER, defend 5 positions, and will be a BEAST, and doesn't fit well with MCW's which both need the ball and are currently not the best shooters

Biyombo
Dewayne Dedmon *RFA*
Josh Smith
Larry Sanders

Change of Pace PG's
=================================

Jeremy Lin *he was put in bad situations, physically he has regained some speed/quickness, more importantly regained that confidence and belief in his game, and wants to be here *cap friendly*
Plays well and knows how to get the team involved, utilizing his ability to penetrate/finish, floor spacing, get high quality shots, and plays great in the Garden with the crowd cheering for him
Knows how to get the the crowd/Garden involved with his HIGH BB IQ
*of course he would have to get the ""OKAY" with CA, however, CA has really changed his game this year/matured much from the JR Smith/Mike Woodson days*

Ish Smith

Isiah Thomas clone in "Briggs draft in Kay Fielder"
Though we gave up on Shane Larkin for 1.7m of cap space who I think can still contribute with his speed/quickness and be developed in to a JJ Barea type of player
NOT a Phil Jackson type PG but he is not coaching

NBA Draft 2016/17
===================
There is also Fuzaro who dropped out of the draft last year which Briggs was one of the players he had hoped to acquire as a late 1st rounder or 2nd rounder to be a Manu Type player
Also the Dennis Schroedder clone which would likely also take a couple years to develop but has incredible reach, athleticism, big hands, size/length in George De Paula

Lets not forget about Shved
I think we still own his bird rights, though it wouldn't make much of a difference as most teams will have cap space and or MLE regardless

=================

SOLID BACKUPS
================

Troy Daniels *speed/quickness with and can spread the floor*

Sessions/Bayless/DJ Augstine/ Aaron Brooks/ Brandon Jennings

ALWAYS NEED SHOOTERS, REGARDLESS of what system we run
====================================================================

Jimmer
Troy Daniels

Evan Fournier RFA?

Gereld Green
Gereld Henderson

Andrew Nicholson/Moe Harkless/Sergey Karasev

Marcus Thortan
Carlos Delfino *was once a solid player but last I hard was he got surgery and never heard from him since the start of last season, believe it was with Houston* *NON GUARANTEED contract, because of his age etc but also was a contribute with Affalo in the Detroit days*

Kevin Martin *if he gets traded and bought out*
Jamal Crawford

Budinger

Jared Dudley *one of the players that Jason Kidd probably misses with their need of shooters to space the floor*
Joe Johnson *probably will sign with a greater contender at VET MIN* but to play a Paul Pierce type of role

Mirza Televic
Jon Leur
Anthony Tolliver
*Markeif Morris in a trade*

Ilyasova *likely to be released and Detroit may look to reacquire Ryan Anderson to pair with Drummond like he did with a young Dwight Howard*
Charlie Villanova
Tolliver

RFA
======
Meyers Leanard

Talents, draft picks, to buy low on with
Twolves, Celtics, and Philly

trade for Shabazz and/or Gorgui Dieng
*Shabazz can play a role similar to Lamar Odom at the SG/SF/PG, as a G/F and PG, especially if we go small with KP as our Center at times
Prior to his injury last year he was a beast and doesn't have the same role as he was successful in with the ability to post up and be a poor mans James Harden as well

I think there will be another AMNESTY in the works, with the new CBA negation, and Pekovic's contract could be used prior if he is unable to recover
If we are unable to land talent this summer by next summer, there will be a new CBA, and likely a new AMENSTY, if so, we should consider taking Pekovic if if nets us multiple draft picks along with some of their young talent like Shabazz/Dieng

if Pekovic imroves his status and becomes back a double double force
(possibly trading Robin Lopez/Calderon while getting back Kevin Martin as well) along with the above....

Sixers *obviously they have a billion draft picks as well as Celtics this summer, and limited roster spots, 1st rounders are guaranteed contracts that they may be forced to move for the cheap or with some of their players to buy low on*

Robert Covington *2 more years at team option at vet min*
Hollis Thompson
Jerami Grant *reunite the brothers*
Ricardo Holmes

Boston
==========

Tyler Zeller?? and Boston roster with their draft picks coming up this draft could be available outside of Isiah Thomas/Avery Bradley/Jae Crowder, because of their youth and cap friendly deals

BIG GUARDS *that Phil Jackson seems to like*
======================================================

Evan Turner *PG/SG/SF*
Jarret Jack to an unguaranteed deal with his injury to play 2-3 positions*

Garrett Temple/ Lance Stephenson *as his stock likely will take a BIG HIT*
Gary Neal

Brian Roberts
Shelvin Mack *team option*
Aaron Harrison and his brother

Gereld Green/ Courtney Lee
Justin Holiday/Alonzo Gee
Jeffery Taylor (played for Bobcats last year and was suspended last year as well, playing in Europe with player option)

PJ Hairson *don't believe that Bobcats picked up his 3rd year option, making him a FA like Shane Larkin was if so, a player that we had strong interest in but was drafted prior to Cleanthony Early, a poor mans Shabazz?*

Anthony Tolliver

RFA's
=======

Tyler Johnson
Ray Maccallum/Spencer Dwinwiddie

Andrew Nicholson/Moe Harkless

Meyers Leanard
Tyler Zeller?? and Boston roster with their draft picks coming up this draft could be available outside of Isiah Thomas/Avery Bradley/Jae Crowder, because of their youth and cap friendly deals

D League to consider, singing now to help develop them for our future with multiyear deals

Russ Smith
Tony Wroten
Mike James

Christian Wood

unguaranteed contracts/gambles?

Andray Blatche? Andrew Bynum *to help Whiteside in the Triangle

Jermaine Oneil *would have been a player to help develop Bobby Portis whether serving as a KG role or an assistant with comparable body/skill sets*

Rasheed Wallace as a assistant coach to help develop KP6

Again, I am just listing a bunch of CAP FRIENDLY talents

Our Roster
===============

Affalo at 6-4/5, 210 pounds and likely to OPT out of his player option at his age of 31 already
He already lacks speed/quickness and isn't young, while he gives much effort on DEFENSE, because of his lack of speed/quickness/athleticism and not the TALLEST/BIGGEST SG/SF he was a liability vs better defenders like Klay Thompson who he tried to post up which was a bad decision and coaching on Fisher's part to allow him to force the action too much
Currently holds a player option at 2nd year at about 8m

I like the toughness he and the strengths he has, however, I do not want him at a 4year deal for sure, IMO, 2year deal at best at about 8m per year, however, we could have a lot of salary cap this year and next year that we could utilize better

Derrick Williams
I like him but at what price? Though he is much younger than Affalo, so I wouldn't mind keeping him at a decent price
HOLDS a player option at 5m for 2nd year

Robin Lopez
again, we need to upgrade TOP TIER talents at some point, if we can get an asset and getting rid of his salary, we should consider it, especially if we can sign Whiteside or some of the other Centers and talents available

Serephin *still solid but could be an asset for us to move as we could have decent depth*

Jerian Grant, I would have no problem trading him if we can get back a future 1st rounder or talent such as Shabazz for him
I wanted Bobby Portis on draft day instead, while Ish Smith was on the waivers that we could have claimed along with signing Jeremy Lin/Galloway, with some other solid players

Lance Thomas and Lou Amundson, we would have early bird rights to with low cap hold but we are probably done with Lou Amundson, maybe at a vet min but I think we can do better
Thomas could be a strength of ours with his size and ability to defend the PG spot especially if we are able to add some other defenders to cover other positions to elevate our roster/DEFENSE

Again, with player option to Affalo/Derrick Williams both OPT OUT, with Calderon as an expiring (even if it cost us a 1st rounder to get rid off)
Along with the possibility of moving Robin Lopez for an asset??

That could bring us to over 30-50million in cap space this summer with another 20m the following year...
So this could be a very interesting summer with many directions we can go with

If we can acquire a talent such as Shabazz to play point/forward, it would allow us to play some BIGGER COMBO guards and improve our defense/rebounding in the guard positions as there are many big COMBO guards
Imagine Shabazz going left and Jeremy Lin/Westbrook on the right with CA/KP also spreading the floor??
Ahhh, I could dream right???

These acquisitions have made us about mediocre and probably have helped us developed a bit, however, we could have VERY MUCH CAP SPACE and with KP6 and CA's improvements/changes, we can probably attract top tier talents this summer and next year, HOPEFULLY with Westbrook, have him pull a CA and force his way to New York *especially if Durant leaves, in which we could use draft picks, Calderon to match salary, Grant, etc...

WESTBROOK
==========

whether Durant stays or leaves, OKC is a small market that has proved to be "cheap" so at some point of their careers when they are on the decline, they will not offer a HUGE contract like LA did for Kobe, like we did for Ewing/Allan Houston and Sprewell etc....

UFA at 18m as an expiring next year

He would be an expiring next year at under 18m of cap space for cap his cap hold, which is very low considering he is a TOP TIER 1 PG/SG and probably even talent period
Yes, I know he has mental weaknesss etc but also intrigued by his physical talent, size/athleticism, and defensive abilities *as I do not think he has utilized them to the fullest extent yet*
He is confused with STATS, with steals/rebounds/BLOCKS as DEFENSE, though it can be, I believe he can take his game to another level, more importantly would make the GARDEN ROAR LOUDER than ever EVERY NIGHT
And help inspire HOME COURT ADVANTAGE once again, as he also feeds off the energy in the Garden and TAPS in to it as well

He wouldn't surely improve his "BUILDING BRAND" and could be used in multiple ways with KP6/CA to space him out, as well as even POST UP when at PG at times to initiate our OFFENSE
His agent should understand that Dolan will be willing to pay him well beyond his prime *though will probably trade him like they did with Frazier/Ewing at some point of his ending career
BUT HE WOULD LIKELY have a chance to make the most $$$ in contracts than another GM/TEAM, when beyond his declining years when his physical abilities decline and gets old
ON TOP OF ENDORSEMENTS, especially moving East instead of facing the WEST CONF, could become favorites in the East to help promote his brand, though he would need some tweaks, he is simply a freak

RonRon - you should apply to work for the NY Knicks dude!
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Would love to be and "advisor"

If I understood and learned how to use "ADVANCED STATS" there probably could be a chance, though I think it is more about picking up on trends
but I don't
and utilizing them to justify certain players/rosters etc

while I think ALL STATS in general can be misleading but can be useful at times to identify trends

might as well charge for my services however LOL

Ned,
not sure if you are trying to mock me or if you agree with some of my opinions
