Just finished the book "11 Rings".
I read "the last season" when it came out. This book he discusses all the winning teams. Its current enough that he does mention his being hired by MSG and his opinion of the team before ht took the gig. I have read more via "Files" on this subject.

Must reading for Knick fans. It might not turn a Phil Hater in to a lover but at least the hate can be accurate.

I think I have a better idea of what he is about and where he is going. I enjoyed reading his take on the Bulls teams. He had a lot of input with Kupchek on the lakers.

How many of Phil's books have you read?

I bought 11 Rings but haven't gotten around to reading it. Maybe I'll start that after I finish the one I'm currently reading.

I read 11 Rings right after he got the job with the Knicks... it was a great read and definitely lays his philosophy out

Phil in the book spoke often about Red Holzman and the importance of defense leading to ball movement.

Im not focused on Jose being slow, or who we get on the waiver wire. Unless he is willing to play the right way, we can pass.
Phil wants the beauty of basketball to return. Winning is a symptom of that and should be a draw to free agents.
Fist, change the culture and a roster of willing men. Year 1 was the tear down, year two is beginning.

Thought that 11 Rings was some kind of J.R.R. Tolkien fan fiction novel.

Have read the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit... no other books about rings.

Only BB books I've ever read were Miracle on 33rd Street, The Open Man, and The City Game... and we're talking about 45 years ago.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?
