not an option but I would be livid and eventually watch them again cause I can't get into the nets (yet)

even if they got Lebron and won a championship next year - it would be so hard after this season to see the Knicks trade their first top 4 pick since they last traded it - but at least when Isiah did, he had no idea it would be a top 4 pick.

Personally I want to see the Knicks become a contender. how they do it is of no concern to me. if trading the pick brought back players to truly compete with...I'm good.

You have that now. I'll just never understand the perception that there is a way to win thats better than others when the team hasnt won in decades. For instance...other than Dirk the Mavs were all free agent or traded for players.

it doesnt make that ring insignificant to Mavs fans....they appreciate.

If the Knicks do something stupid again It will be divorce. I already have a great team in Uconn and I will adjust my thinking and become Celtics fan. My uncle did it--so can I. I dont mind rooting for the loser hell Ive been a Jets Mets fan since I opened my eyes and that not changing--but the Knicks are different--They ve hijacked by a man no one likes who has personally made me give up season tix and now I wont even go to the games--I wont bring my kids to the games--and its a disgrace. I used to go to the Knicks games when I was 5 until my dad died when i was 8. I literally went toa Knicks game 2 days before my dad collapsed in a Chock full of Nuts in front of my face. When I was a young fan--it started at a time when the Knicks were just starting to go down hill. You know the transition from the Frazier Reed Knicks to Bob Mcadoo Spencer haywood Glenn Gondzerik etc.. but hey Im just a kid what the fck do I know. yadayada shhty teams then we got Bernard and played a couple of good year he got hurt-sunk and got Patrick--that set forth a period that was reasonable where we actually did take picks and got guys like Kenny Walker Mark Jackson Gerald Wilkins hey anyone remember we also drafted Rod Strickland(of and we super starphucked him in a trade for Mo Cheeks) went for one good year with Pitino and didnt come back until we hired Riley--The Riley core foundation of this franchise--to me lasted 15 years he set it up and they stayed with it even when they got rid of him or he got rid of us.
We morphed but had a foundation until Dolan took over and Van Gundy left(just at the Knick of time) then it went disastrous where we got "experience players" such as Shanden Andersen and Howard Eisley Kurt Thoma setc to the point where we got pick # 7 just 3 years after we went to the finals and 2 years after we went to the C finals. Did we make a good pick--no we star phucked and lost the player before the season even started and then it was on. The team went on a decade long run of making the worst trades treating the draft like it was a plague and then when we were forced to take a pick I dont believe the franchise with its foundation were set in place to make a prescient pick. We went through Marbury than Crwford Curry all of those folks to the pont we traded for Melo. We found a glimmer of time where the east continued to sck and the sun aligned for us on e year when we had J Kidd and a band of 37 year olds with Melo The acquired Tyson Chandler with Felton and JR Smith having career years. 1 season for every asset we had. Yep we had 1 DECENT season in 14 years when we outspent every other team 3-1. 14 years is to long now. If we alter path and do not take this pick I dont have time in my life left for the Knicks. And Im a super fan 100000000X times a fan that Dolan is. But just like the audacity of Dolan calling back that 70 yar old--hge doenst fcking get what a fan really is other than someone who pays him. He owns the team and he has also hijacked the team from ist fans. there is nothing to root for--no organic love for any fan. Fans dont give a sht about Carmelo Anthony they really dont.

its obviously better than a 14 win season but I would like to have at least one home grown.

Baseball is also different because there is no cap so the yankees spend 200 million and try to buy players and then there are teams competing with a payroll of 20-30 million.

I like that basketball is an even playing field aside from the tax free states.

Give me one home grown star ... just one.

Yeah but Dirk is the Mavs Wade is the Heat Duncan is the Spurs--we need that--the fans need that. We tried the other way and its been an absolute failure. Carmelo is NOT a Knick no one views Carmelo as a true Knick.

Already pretty much stopped watching Knicks this season and watch DC games with my son.

Looking forward to the rebuild in NY. So if they skip it, I'll skip them.
